  1. In case it helps, I received an acceptance last week and I just realized it was dated Feb. 03. So don't despair, they do seem to take longer than usual
  2. Hey there. Which program are you applying to? I got accepted in Comparative Literature PhD. @EmmaJava may I ask which program you applied to?
  3. I got two rejections and one acceptance at a lower rank university. Waiting for two more.
  4. Well the waiting is over at least... Rejected from CUNY
  5. Not at all @KhiCompLit. Just from Emory. I also applied to U. Oregon, but I have not been contacted yet.
  6. Hi @KhiCompLit. I first received a notification from Fulbright and then e-mailed Emory to get some feedback on things to improve in the future. I wrote to the general e-mail address and received a reply from Professor Walter Reed.
  7. @BellaBendrix Sure, no problem. Sorry I didn't reply before, but for my mental health I decided to ration my visits to gradcafe. I applied to Emory, Duke, CUNY, University of Washington Seattle, and University of Oregon. My focus in contemporary North-American Literature and French Poststructuralism, although I would also take on comparative work in my other two languages Spanish and Italian. Have you heard any news? I have been pretty relaxed the past few days but as March gets closer I am starting to worry again.
  8. I'm also a Literature applicant btw Comparative Literature
  9. ¡Hola! I am a Fulbright nominee from Spain and applied through the IIE as well. I am glad you posted this as I have not received any information regarding my applications (except for one rejection) and I was also starting to freak out with the results board. I was starting to think they were all implied rejections, but reading your posts It seems that our applications are taking longer than regular ones. Also, none of the other Spanish nominees have heard any news from the IIE either. We just need to be extra-patient.
  10. This week I learnt that CUNY has not made a final decision on all applications so there still might be hope!
  11. Hi! The Fulbright Commission informed me about a week or two ago (posted in the results board). Maybe you are waitlisted, I would contact them to make sure. I did to get some feedback on my application and their reply was very warm and personalized. Good luck! Congrats on your oregon admission btw
  12. Hi there, I am new to this forum, and I am also waiting for a response from CUNY. As a Fulbright candidate, they don't allow me to contact universities or check the status of my applications. I have no way of knowing what's going on and I am really struggling with the urge to contact them. I already got a rejection from Emory last week. I am starting to think they will reject my application at CUNY as well. Although I applied to other programs, I am now starting to think that I might lose my scholarship if I don't get accepted. I know the only thing we can do is wait but please do let me know if you get any news. Sorry for this useless post, but impatience is killing me!
