  1. Congratulations to everyone who heard good news today! It must be so exciting to know what comes next on your social work journey! I didn't make it in this year either, unless they do a second round of admissions of advanced standing (this is my third time applying to UofT specifically). I am aware they do three rounds of admission for the 2-year program, but I am not 100% about whether they do one or two rounds for the advanced standing because they accept less then the 2-year program and also much less also apply. Good luck to everyone, especially those still waiting to hear back from schools!
  2. Congrats! That so amazing! I wonder if they all change at once or if they update one by one.
  3. Nothing yet either, I applied to the MSW social justice stream at UofT
  4. Today, tomorrow, and everday after until I find out if I got into any graduate schools
  5. FYI: I hope this means they will be done sending out admissions by mid-march and not that they will only start coming out mid-march. I've got too much anxiety thinking of waiting another month. Thoughts?
  6. Sharing this because I didn't realize the school of social work website said late February! So exciting! >> "Application review results for the Fall 2017 session are expected to be available by late February, 2017 for the MSW Advanced Standing Program, and by mid-March, 2017 for the 2-Year MSW program." http://socialwork.gradstudies.yorku.ca/msw/msw-how-to-apply/
  7. Sharing this because I didn't realize the York school of social work website said late February! So exciting!
  8. You are very correct dry_guy, this is my third year apply to UofT and it seems like last year was a surprise when they came out so early, even years before I applied it always seemed to come out early March or very late February. The wait continues.
  9. I just turned 24 last week. Did a four year B.A honours in Psych and the post graduate one year honours bachelor of social work at Lakehead. Hoping this is the year !
  10. Oh no, they must be super behind on their game. Uh, well I guess I will leave the refresh button alone for the next few weeks. Thanks for checking in with them!
  11. Constantly refreshes rosi and the the login for york. Help!
  12. Hello! I am not following any of Yweang's information. I am a recent graduate from the one year honours bachelor of social work at Lakehead University. Last year I applied to UofT, as well as the majority of my classmate. Around 12 students got accepted from my Lakehead program into UofT advanced standing MSW on February 9th 2016. Following, they did two more rounds of admissions over the next two weeks for advanced standing. These stats are consistent with previous years, as my partner is in their second year currently of the MSW program, and I first applied two years right out of my first undergraduate degree.
  13. This is the week where they should be sending out first round of admission for uoft advanced standing! Fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!
  14. Does anyone know when Ryerson U sends out responses, and if there is a way to find out online if you're accepted?
  15. Just submitted my final applications these past few days for York and Ryerson, and UofT this morning! Good luck to everyone this year!
  16. For sure! That is exactly right! You want to send your references the appropriate forms and then receive them back so you can send your references (in sealed signed envelopes) in the same package with your application, so it is all together in one. Any other questions, feel free to private message me and I can help you out with anything I can!
  17. Hello everyone, This will be my third year applying! I graduated in spring 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Psychology, and throughout my undergraduate degree I gained a lot of volunteer experience through committees, societies, and social services, and I also held two paid teaching and research assistant jobs. In Spring 2014, I applied to various 2-year MSW and 1 BSW program, and ended up being waitlisted for the 2yr MSW at UofT and accepted into the HBSW at Lakehead! Last Fall while at Lakehead I only had time to apply to one school, so I reapplied for the UofT Advanced Standing MSW, and of course was waitlisted again. This year, I plan to apply to several masters of social work programs and perhaps some Master of Arts Child and Youth Care programs. Therefore, the social work program I plan to apply to this year are: Ryerson University, McMaster University, University of Toronto, University of Victoria BC, University of Manitoba, and Memorial University. What universities is everyone else applying to? Good luck this year!
  18. Anyone get off the waitlist for UofT Advanced Standing?
  19. Has anyone here who was waitlisted at UofT Advanced standing get off the waitlist yet? Thanks!
  20. Has there been any movement on the waitlist for UofT Advanced standing applicants!? Thanks!
  21. For people who got accepted during the 1st and 2nd round of admissions into UofT Advanced Standing MSW, how long do you all have until you have to submit your response? Im trying to gage when waitlisted people might hear back if room opens up! Thanks!
  22. Thats so amazing! Congraduations! Also, did your rosi account just change today? have you looked at it since a week and a half ago when they first sent out their first round of admission for UofT Adv Standing!!?? Thanks!

  24. Is anyone knowledgable of how many rounds of admission UofT does for MSW advanced standing applicants?
