Turning down NPSIA for MPPPA, hopefully someone on this thread hears some good news from Tabbatha soon.

Hey, congratulations on being accepted to NPSIA in the first place, I'm sure you can recall scanning forums much like this a few years ago. I have to say at the moment I'm leaning towards a career in the private sector (less screening, potential for higher salaries...) In your NPSIA class, would you say a fair amount of students are going on towards successful private sector careers? I'm aware of your statement however I have to believe some opportunities must exist.

Awesome thread, glad we can talk about this process in forum. I've applied to NPSIA, Concordia's MPPPA and McGIll Political Science. A Canadian citizen, I graduate with my BA from the United States this coming spring. One thing that's worried me throughout the application process is grade conversions from one scale to the next. My CGPA is 3.2, however using the scales from my Universities of interest, it's roughly 3.8. My related work experience is limited with the Canadian Government, however I interned as a lobbyist with an NGO while at University. Other generic awards and accolades like you guys. Only time will tell, honestly best of luck to all.
