The best schools for EE would be UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC San Diego, UCLA, USC, UC Davis, CalTech... What kind of graduate degree are you looking for?

One of the items of the new student check list is: "July 31: Deadline to submit entrance medical requirements" with a link to the Vaden Health Center... There one must complete your online entrance medical requirements forms... No, I have not filled up the student ID Card yet... I'm planning to stay off campus... somewhere near Oakland or SF... I need to be near Berkeley since my wife will start her PhD there... so I have to commute to Stanford guess I must download some thousands podcasts for all the hours of commuting

If you have the Student ID number (and I guess you have it in order to have accepted the offer) you are ready. The package only contains: the formal letter of acceptance (I guess that they sent you a pdf version trough email), a small brochure of Stanford University CEE department and another letter with the Student ID number and some directions. I found more useful the directions of the Admitted Students webpage http://studentaffairs.stanford.edu/gradadmissions/admitted Do you have funding from Stanford? I tip for every one... star filling up the health forms... it has tons of information to recolect... best!

Great s1u8n! Besides the SUNetID + Acceptance, what other stuff from the AXESS site is needed to be fulfilled? For international admits: do you know what are the steps involved to get the VISA? Should we send the I-20 filled up, a copy of the passport and the paperwork regarding the funding?

Good idea... I am an international applicant also... but I will live near Berkeley so I will have the fun and joy to commute to Stanford every day :S... But it is better than living in San Diego and traveling to SF the weekends. @s1u8n, we need to start a Stanford CEE 2010 thread

I received my financial aid response last weekend (April 3rd)... Almost all set for Stanford

Congratulations!!! If you want to accept to Stanford you must apply for the SUNet ID right away because it take at least 24 hrs to be activated in order to answer the acceptance... I apply for it more than 24hrs ago… and my status is pending :S… Once again congratulations!!!

Anyone knows if the SUNet ID requires sponsorship for graduate level (I am an international applicant)? or it just activates automatically after 24 hrs?

I applied on Dec 8, 2009... but I do not remember when my last letter of recommendation was sent. Nevertheless, I received an email regarding the completion of my application on Feb 2, 2010. Hope it helps good luck!

yes... last Thursday I receive a unofficial email telling me the good news... but I was kind of worried due to the fact that was April Fool’s day... but the on Friday I received the official email with the proper letter

Well Stanford answer came this weekend and IT IS ALL GOOOOOOD Stanford will be the next step... I only need the official acceptance package that will arrive on snail mail to continue with the process... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!

I'm waiting for Stanford.... is the only one left... but it is crucial for my decision making. I have sent email to staff of CEE in Stanford with no answer... but a professor told me that he would look at my case... but he still haven't answered me... should I write back....AHHH!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! T-15D for decision day...

That is the tricky part for me... coordinating my MS application (I got no fellowship) with my wife's PhD (she has full funding from Chile and from one of the programs she applied)... One thing I know for sure… MIT will not be in my future...
