  1. I just heard one person received PhD admission from Cornell today.
  2. same here (cornell and pittsburgh)... Called Cornell two days ago, the program coordinator said they will be finishing making decisions by the end of this week (offer, waitlist and rejection)...
  3. When did they notify you? I haven't heard anything from UMich yet...
  4. if you decide not to go Michigan, please turn them down as soon as you can, cuz I'm still waiting from them... Thank you very much. I do appreciate.
  5. got answer from Pittsburgh. They invite all the students they want to admit for the recruitment weekend (that means if the student says yes, he/she will get admitted). Other applicants will receive either admission with funding or rejection. And they gonna send out the letters beginning on March 10th (which is tomorrow) to early April. Finger crossed!
  6. Nothing from Pittsburgh, even for the master program...
  7. Anyone heard anything back from Northwestern, U-Michigan and Pittsburgh (BME PhD program) yet? I did not receive interview invitation from them. Does that mean I have been added to waitlist or they just silently reject me? Thanks.
  8. This is what I just got back from UC Davis: "While we have already communicated our decisions to admitted students in order to facilitate their attendance of our recruitment weekend, we haven’t yet communicated all of our admissions decisions to the remaining applicants." I think that means rejection to me...
  9. I think so, cuz I am an international student too. Domestic students can bring their own fundings which ease the burden of faculty/department. There are only 2 or 3 spots for international students each year and some applicants already got their MS degree, so somehow their background are more competitive than us (BS in the states).
  10. sorry I didn't clarify that the program coordinator recommended me to contact faculty members...
  11. I called some schools and they recommended me to reach out to faculty if I didn't get admission or rejection from their programs. I emailed some faculty members but no response... Any advice on the strategy? Thanks!
