I also got nothing but loans. I'm expected to contribute $22,000. It's pretty dejecting now that the "high" of getting in has faded, and it's all about the money. I keep getting skeptical voices in my head about whether graduate school is really worth all this money, or whether this is all a money-making scheme.

    Well put-- and same here.

But it is definitely mutually beneficial: they DO make a lot of money off us, but we get an awesome experience and entree into literally the best network in the world.

Stay high! (Ya know, like with elation from getting in...)

  2. Hey y'all.

So I also got 20k loan and nothin else.

Does anyone know if at this stage they tell you if you qualified for work study? Or is that a different channel? Thank you and I hope to see you on the 4th!

    Just curious,

Education Policy and Management applicants (excluding those who plan on seeking a PHD) what type of jobs do you hope to get after graduation?

5 people have asked me that in the past two days! I've honed my answer to a diversion/joke:  "umm.. maybe like the department of Ed? but probably Starbucks.")

YEP! Historically, changes have been made after business hours, so I wouldn't get toooo obsessive about it yet if you can avoid it.

LOL. I had totally forgotten that this was the username I'd chosen.. and your reply reminded me.. oh boy...

HGSE Admissions Office emailed me a question about one of my recommendations. I provided a simple answer to their question. Not a big deal, but it does tell us that they are looking into our recommendations. I'm interpreting this as good news for me; why would they waste time looking into the recommendations for applicants who they don't want to admit? Then again, it might be standard procedure. My response.

    What was the question?

  6. Hello!

(Should we be accepted...) Does anyone know if we will get an official snail-mail acceptance letter?

thank you and may your long days be slightly less insufferable in the next week!
