Im applying to the University of Denver's International and Intercultural communications program. Has anyone heard anything about this program? Its hard to find any info.

@DBear In regards to the University of Denver's program, it is very hard to get information.  I contacted them several times, both the general inquiry email and the graduate director.  It took me months before I finally got a response (which was a sketchy sign to me).  I finally had a conversation with the graduate director, friendly and very informative.  There were certain things I liked about the program but I decided not to apply because the faculty research didn't mesh up as well as I would hope with my own, and they do not provide 4 years of funding.  Their deadline is early, but I'd recommend reaching out to the grad director as soon as possible to ask your questions if you haven't done so.  She told me they made some changes to the program and were updating their website. which is why not much info is available.  I didn't get a good feeling from all of that, but definitely reach out and ask questions if you have them to her.

  2. I was in the same boat as you in terms of concern about GRE scores, and similar career goals to just do a 4:4 teaching schedule not at a R1 institution.  Based on most of the schools I have looked at many do not have specific cut offs for GRE scores.  (UCONN's are actually pretty low as well).  Several of the schools I have contacted do not have cut offs.  Generally, if it isn't directly listed on the GRE requirement on the admissions page it will be on the programs FAQ page.  If not, you can always contact the Graduate Director, but I usually would weave other questions in there as well about the program so my desperation about GRE scores wasn't as evident.
