My understanding is that Villanova already made its funding offers. Everyone else has been waitlisted (myself included). Those I know who have been waitlisted (2 others) have all been told that they are on the top of the waitlist, which is what I was told as well. Have you heard something different? Villanova is a good program depending upon your purposes. Their placement record into PhD programs is poor, but the program is known for preparing students for secondary education as well as professional work that pertains to communications. Obviously, NYU and UCL have phenomenal programs in their own right.

If you don't mind. Will you tell me when and how the department notified you? I learned of my acceptance on March 7. On March 8, while speaking with the director, I was told that the committee would be meeting this week to deliberate about funding and that we would hear back early in the week.

Has Villanova contacted you about funding?

Have any of you heard about funding from Villanova? I heard that the committee was supposed to meet last week to make decisions. And I see on the search page that one person has been notified that s/he is now on the waitlist for funding.
