  1. Hey everyone, i know that many people on this dicussion board, this i there second or third time applying to MSW programs (and congrats too all of you that got in) I was hoping to seek some support from all of you, and get some advice. This was my first year applying to a 2 Year MSW program (i currently am completing my undergrad in the field of child and youth care) . I applied to york, where i got rejected and U Of T where I got waitlisted. ideally, like many of you it was my dream to obtain my MSW! long story short the reason I want to obtain my MSW is so that I can Work not only with Children but also within the Field of Geriatrics. Any advice on other programs I should apply to next year, advice on how i should enhance my application? (as I know many of you this is your second time applying and have more experience, with applications and knowledge of what the process has looked like) I greatly appreciate you help!!! Wishing you all the best in your future!
  2. Hey everyone, also adding in here that I was wait listed for U of T - 2year program.
  3. Congrats!!! I was looking into that, do you have to be working directly in the field? I do have experience in the field (placements mostly) and in the summers I work more directly in the field. I work in a nursing home a right now as a receptionist (sort of indirect) and currently graduating in april, therefore I will be looking for a more direct job in the field. But I was just wondering if I would qualify to apply for that regular tracked program
  4. I've been reading the comments regarding U of T 2 year program...I still have not heard anything back yet... trying to stay positive. But do you all think its just waitlist and rejections left to be sent out? Wishing you all the best of luck, For those stressing, feeling anxious, etc...I can totally relate. I am trying to tell myself whatever happens, don't give up on your dreams! have a great day everyone.
  5. Hey, I have! I was rejected quite early. Aprox. 2 weeks after applying my status changed to "Application unsuccessful" so I would say its a good sign that your status hasn't changed!!! there's still hope! I'm assuming they ruled out all candidates that didn't meet the criteria, specifically for me my GPA met the bare minimum. Goodluck!!!
