Okay, so I knew waiting on the waitlist was awful, but here it is May 13, and while searching endlessly online for how long people wait to get off the damn waitlist I see comments from people saying they've been "waiting a long time but they finally got off the waitlist", being posted in March or April. It's May. The middle of May. I was told February 19th I was on the waitlist, on April 20th I was asked if I was still interested in which I responded "yes!". I knew professors would be busy, it is finals time. But the school's final grades were due on Monday the 9th, and commencement was last weekend. And it's a small program of like 10 students with 3 open slots. I am losing my mind and really feel as though I am never going to know. I don't know if I should send an email and seem like I'm impatient and hurt my chances.
Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone been accepted off a waitlist this late in the game?
