  1. Thanks for your input! Could you specify which schools are too competitive and which ones are the least competitive? I'm hoping to stay in the west, maybe Midwest.
  2. Hello everyone! My boyfriend and I have put together this preliminary list of SLP programs that we think I have a shot at getting into. I would love to hear any of your advice, experiences, speculations, or anything that would help me narrow it down! Here are my stats: VR: 154 QR: 152 AW: 4 Cum GPA: 3.174 Last 60 GPA: 3.289 PreSLP GPA: 3.139 (Does that just immediately disqualify me from everything forever? Online courses are not my forte and I didn't know it until my post-bacc) And here is our list: Pacific University Portland State University Idaho State University Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions University of Montana University of Wyoming University of Northern Colorado Arizona State University Midwestern University, Arizona Northern Arizona University Eastern New Mexico University New Mexico State University Thank you!
  3. Also, I don't even know if being an assistant a special education teacher is related enough.
  4. Hello! I am currently working for the IT department at my undergrad university and I applied a month ago to the local school district for related work experience. I just told my current boss I would be working for him for the next year, but I've started getting calls from principals asking to set up interviews. I would be an assistant in the special education resource room. I am wondering if getting related work experience is worth changing all my plans so last minute. I would be able to take classes online, but I would be sacrificing taking ASL 201 and 202. I already feel like I have slim chances of getting into a grad program so I want to take every advantage I can! So what do you think I should do?
  5. Hello, I wanted to post my stats and see if you guys think I even stand a chance of getting into grad school and what else I could possible do before applying for the Fall 2017 cycle. I have $30,000 in student loans for my undergrad and leveling courses, I've spent $615 on the GRE, I've spent 7 years in undergrad and leveling courses and I'm starting to think that it has all been for nothing. So what do you think? G.P.A: 3.156 (after Fall 2016) Last 60 Cr G.P.A. 3.314 (after Fall 2016) Gre: VR 149 QR 150 AW 2.5 (retaking August, this time I'll study harder, but how do I study for analytical writing?!?!?!?) Extra curriculars - Study Abroad France 1 semester, KKPSI Honorary Band Fraternity 4 yrs, college marching band 3yrs Volunteer - cat shelter 1.5 yrs What else can I/should I do before next February?!?! How can I get my analytical writing score up? I got a 3 the first time I took it and I thought I did terribly. The second time I took the GRE I got a 2.5 but I thought I had done amazing. Any advice or insight is welcome!
