Is there a general expectation for how much of your tuition should be covered in an MPP program? It seems like maybe people have had offers to have half through all of their tuition covered--I've gotten something like 30-40% so far. Is it better to wait until next year to get more funding (and boost my application), or should I just take what I can get?
I just got my aid offer--$10k fellowship and $4k assistantship. I was reading through past posts, and it seems that Sanford is pretty good at coming back with better offers if you tell them it's hard to afford. Does anyone have any feedback on how I could proceed with this?
Rushed home from work to check my mail--still nada. GSPP needs to upgrade to the 21st century and do emails so I can stop having a heart attack every time I'm about to open my mailbox.
Here hoping to something by tomorrow? And does anyone know if it's actually true that they send out acceptances and rejections at the same time?
To me it seemed like there was an emphasis on social justice type issues. In general though, it seems that work experience probably carries the heaviest weight.
I wouldn't worry--we're not supposed to hear anything from Harvard until April (mid-April, officially), and I believe that we should be hearing from Berkeley pretty soon, if you've followed the GSPP thread. Supposedly snail mails went out this week.
