  1. Hey! Sorry for the typo, someone else got accepted and posted their results so I was talking about that. I haven't gotten my result yet.
  2. One student got accepted, International Student in MDev!
  3. Guys! Let me say this now, irrespective of our results! You guys have been such a huge support from past couple of months, and especially this past week when the wait became a torture. Coming here on the forum, reading your posts, has been such a relief. Not to mention the solidarity that I feel. Thank you so much!
  4. I called before lunch time.... and we all love our lunch time ? 'Patience'! What? Who? Where?? ?
  5. I've tried calling them twice, but no one is answering. Has anyone else tried?
  6. Haha! I know, I was thinking the same thing yesterday, that everyday at noon during lunch they must be reading our comments and having a gala! Something like: " a bunch of over-worried, over-analytical fools"! ?
  7. Ok! This may sound as a presumptuous statement, but my concern is once we finally get the result how do we know it's the real/final thing but not a mess up? If the results are same as the mail and the application platform then I think it might be safe to assume. However, lately things have been so unpredictable that I don't know what to think.
  8. Didn't the institute say that they will release the results later this week? It's only mid-week of mid-March! And my 'refresh-happy' fingers are hurting and the anxiety is unbearable ?
  9. It's past 10am and no one has posted their results yet, what is going on? Will the results be out today? Anyone else has any information or update from the institute?
  10. Guys! Someone just posted their result dated 15th March. So it starts again! I hope today is the day for 'I' International Students. All the best everyone! ?
  11. I think it changes on the portal first, and then you get the mail. I think some 2 years back there was some major glitch in the system and people got wrong mails. Hopefully things will go smooth this time.
  12. Thanks for replying. It certainly clarifies the reasons behind the number one spot that Sussex (particularly IDS) has recently reclaimed.
  13. I agree.... it makes sense. I just hope people from HR could understand these points. Thanks for replying ?
  14. Thanks for replying! I totally agree with you, @ss2233, @panameboss. While a lot depends on our personal reasons, funding, and the language of instruction, the brand value of ivies, oxbridge, and LSE can't be ignored. The ranking criteria is rather too broad and research oriented, and of course since IHEID is not an university it is not eligible for QS ranking system. @fernandomli, I too applied to IHEID for the same reasons (well! mostly!). As the result day is approaching, I am thinking a lot of my back up plan....I sincerely hope we all get into IHEID ?
  15. And I forgot to say it earlier.... Happy International Women's Day!
  16. Guys! I have a couple of questions: If you see the QS World Ranking, Sussex University is at number 1 for development studies. But on the boards here I see majority applying for PSIA or our beloved IHEID (including myself).... then the other day I heard that Hertie and Erasmus Rotterdam (the Mdev course is offered at The Hague) are also very good. So how come these universities are nowhere in top 20 (in the field of development studies)? And why most of us here are not keen to apply for Ivy leagues, Oxbridge, or other top universities? Please forgive my generalisations.... I don't intend to offend anyone or question anyone's judgment.... I am simply trying to understand as I've been out of college for quite sometime.
  17. @toyer that was useful, thanks! Although it did nothing to alleviate the anxiety.... The wait is such a torment, can't seem to focus
