  1. Does anyone have experience with Suffolk U's MPA program? I live in Boston and am looking for a program I can complete while working full time and this appears to be the best option. Would love to hear from anyone who has applied, is in the program, or matriculated. Thanks!
  2. thank you so much! this is super helpful.
  3. @CCD2016 hi there, if you don't mind my asking, what did you end up deciding? I am faced with the same decision and can't quite figure out which direction to go in. any advice/perspective/experience would be so helpful! thanks!
  4. @marid hi! I am not considering either program specifically given my inability to relocate, but did you end up deciding between MPA and Nonprofit Management? I am having a hard time with that decision myself and would love to hear another's perspective/experience!
  5. Have you looked into online programs? @whorecrux There are some that are not bad, like BU's.
  6. @bukowski hi! I'm searching posts looking for some answers for the question you've asked here. I realized 3+ years has passed; could you provide some insight on how this panned out for you and any advice you have now having gone through this? thanks!
  7. Hi - I am wondering if anyone has any advice on macro programs vs. MS in human services (or something similar). To give some background: I work full-time and will continue to while pursuing a graduate degree, so I have been looking at exclusively online or hybrid programs in the Boston area. I have ruled out an MPA given that it feels too close to an MBA and ideally, I'm looking for a program that blends my desire to work in non-profit leadership (have 3+ years non-profit experience), but stay close to community/youth work as much as possible. I know BU has an online macro MSW, but my undergrad GPA is a 2.955 and they specifically state I'd need to take the GRE to be considered. I've also looked into Northeastern's MS in human services (http://www.northeastern.edu/online/degrees/masters-human-services/), which sounds ideal, but I'm not sure I know enough about the career trajectory to go ahead with that program full steam. i.e. is it worth it? Anyone here weighed similar programs/career paths? Any insight is helpful! Thanks!
