  1. I too was placed in a talent pool and soon afterwards I interviewed and got an offer (previous cohort), so was just passing round. Anyway, if you are placed in a talent group you can contact the NETI HR ( they are your HR now since you are in a NETI talent group). Contact them and let them know you applied for a certain position in your field. They are really nice people, they will do everything in their power to help. you may use this address: neti@unicef.org. Cheers
  2. No its not. NETI's are still getting placed as positions become available.
  3. This is a good thing...means you are really being considered. Arms crossed for you.
  4. Yeah I like it. The diversity is mind blowing. And people are extremely nice. Story of my life.
  5. You sure will. But you will be invited for an interview first. Good luck.
  6. Update: I just received my offer sometime ago. Thanks everybody for the support.
  7. hi Carrotflowers, personally what I want to know is: Did the offer come from the NETI Team or it came from your duty station directly? Regards
  8. Wow wow and wow...seems very cool. I am guessing you are soon receiving some cash on your account as well before you leave to your duty station. lol. I am really happy for you carrotflowers, and I have been inspired too. As for me I am still waiting to be contacted and I am investing time in work here just to manage the anxiety. Journey of my life. Best wishes.
  9. Hi Carrotflowers. I am was wondering... Have you already received the offer letter and posting instructions. And if yes, how was it delivered?
  10. Hi SG. My case is the same as yours. We interviewed for specific positions because those offices were interested in our profiles. So for you and me we already know our prospective duty stations. Good luck
  11. Congrats Tropicalguy. I think the Neti team is rigorously marketing your profile now, and you are going to be matched to a job.
  12. You guys have really rawwked this thread. Oh, wasn't it something, having y'all around here?...Can't thank you enough. Bless y'all!
  13. Hi guys. If you were to give feedback to the NETI team on what should be improved about the Neti selection process, according to our own experiences, what would you say? In other words, what improvements would you want in the Neti selection process? I am sure this feedback would make the whole experience better for someone else who may apply in the next cohort or even some people that may reapply for the program this year. Regards as I wait to hear from y'all.
  14. Well, my online status still says application under review.
  15. Hi SG, this is what I managed to find out. 1. There were very many applications this year so the selection process is still ongoing..so if you have not received notification yet it does not mean it is the end of the road. For instance M&E alone had over 2000 applications; to even make it to the final stage is a really good thing to be proud of. 2. About how many NETI's per job family: it is bit hard to tell since placement depends on the talent gaps within UNICEF. But for M&E they are looking at placing approximately 5 placements in this Neti batch. Still if you are in a talent pool and not placed in time for the induction they will be marketing your profile aggressively all year round for many more opportunities within UNICEF. So talent group placement is very good. 3. Netis can be placed anywhere where there is a talent gap, whether NY HQ or regional offices. 4. About having two batches this year i was informed that it is not final yet...but most likely it will be one this year. Good luck everyone!
  16. Congrats BTS. I'd say this is very good. Fingers crossed for you.
  17. Hi BTSBTS I recently found out that the induction comes after people have started work at their duty stations. I think NETI participants start around April. So dont give up hope yet. On another note, I have a Q&A session with the NETI team sometime next week and I am going to be getting answers to questions that I have concerning the program. So i was wondering if any of you guys had any questions. It would be my pleasure to get some answers on your behalf. Ciao
  18. Thanks. Yeah they told me at the time of the interview. And yeah, I believe we'll surely meet in NY...and remove the gradcafe masks. Have you noticed how this thread has been very active this year compared to the other years? I have a feeling there's going to be more winners here this year. Cheers
  19. Congs carrotflowers. atleast for you the anxiety is no more. I'd say P2 is a great place to start. Good luck in your journey to change the world.
  20. They say more emails are coming about the next steps. I think what determines the location is the languages you speak, and if you have some international experience they would want to match you to a simular location. But those are just my views I think there is more. I think next week is very important for everybody here. Here is to me wishing everyone the best of luck. Hasta luego
  21. The email says I got placed in the talent pool. They add that if i get placed in a Neti location then there will be an induction at NY HQ approximately around 5-19th June this year. Yeah the whole process is abit hard to comprehend how it works for everyone but am sure most emails will be.flying next week. So carrotflowers all along you've been in a talent pool?
  22. I got notification about my application some hours ago. You guys may wanna check your emails...Good luck
  23. Thanks trn...If i may, you mean when you check your profile you do not see something like "reference check sent out"?. But in any case I'd go for the bird in hand since it doesnt change anything. And keep the faith...sometimes the universe has no choice but to pull all the strings to give a man wat he wants. Cheers
  24. So SG did you manage to ask when they would get back to you? For me unfortunately I didnt get to ask that question.
