Funnily enough, I was thinking the exact same thing.
-
Lately most programs have been releasing their decisions at 3-5. It's been quiet in the mornings.
-
I'm much more inclined to like the massive wave rather than the trickle...at least you know where you stand in a relatively short period of time.
-
Probably tomorrow as well.
-
Yes, and 2014 as well.
-
I'm thinking it will be tomorrow.
-
So is that it for UNC? I can't get a handle on this program.
-
There's really no answer to this. For example UT was at like 6 in the morning, Princeton was at like 10, and Berkeley was at around 5 in the evening.
-
I kind of wish Princeton and Berkeley would just send the rejection letters already.
-
UNC has been a bit weird...a few that trickle in but no major wave.
-
I still have 9 on the board. For me, I don't really care much about yesterday's rejections...but each rejection from a top program I get closer to not going to a top 10 (ish) department and it freaks me out.

Chicago and Duke.
-
No it's just that this forum probably gets like 3 of these threads a day during application season...this is not the subforum for government affairs.

I think he's a math student that got a little lost.
-
Why is this such a problem for people?
-
It's probably too late in the night for east coast schools to send out acceptances.
-
It's over.
-
How are you privy to this information? You also said yesterday that Princeton wouldn't drop for another week so forgive me for being skeptical.
-
Honestly, no point in speculating at this point. The number of acceptances on the results page/here is low but there could be a number of reasons for this: 1) lower numbers of users this cycle on this forum, 2) people haven't posted yet or realized they were accepted. There could be more acceptances to come today. That might be it as well. Last year all acceptances went out in a day. Past cycles they were scattered. Who knows at this point, but I would wager if no one else hears by the end of today...there will be rejections over the next couple of days.
-
They accept more than that, that's usually the incoming cohort (among the smaller sized cohorts/programs - which Princeton isn't), they accept probably double that. Some of the bigger programs accept around 40-60.
-
Besides, UCSD today...I am thinking Friday is going to be a big day.
-
Things are getting real.
-
It's useless to ponder these things...either you get an acceptance email or you don't.
-
Well, here come the California state schools.

I imagine the primary challenge is reading through all the apps first, the second deciding on the borderline cases.
