  1. I see. I guess you are lucky. I haven't received anything from NYU. Acceptances as well as wailists are out, so I guess NYU is not for me. Good luck!
  2. Hi, did you get a letter regarding the waitlist from NYU?
  3. Thanks for the reply. I see. I'll just wait then. I think when you look up the last year result, there is a post that a person received an admission and waitlisted for funding from OSU. And it seems that he/she ended up not getting funding according to the post. That is a sad story. I cried a bit. Thanks again!
  4. Wow. Okay. If a country offers that kind of opportunities, that is very fortunate. So, is there anyone who has heard about funding from OSU? That is my big question.
  5. Hi all, Hope the best luck for all. For those who are accepted (via email, from the website, from POI etc..) at OSU, has anyone heard about funding? I am wondering whether "no word on funding" is only for international students or not. Is there any American nationals who have heard about funding from OSU? Virtually, an acceptance without funding is a rejection, I think.
  6. I also got the email from OSU. I posted it in the result page, but I believe OSU will send out funding information later. It doesn't make sense to me if they send out acceptance without funding. Then it is a joke. Bad joke.
  7. Thanks for the reply! Yes. I do not have "GRE General official" that you mentioned. Okay, I have a problem because I have sent my score in Oct 2016. Thanks again!
  8. I have a question regarding Harvard GSAS application portal page for application checklist. I have sent my GRE score long before, but the portal page does not show my official score.(Dang, I just noticed there is a portal page that can check application status.....) There is just Standardized Test category written in bold letters. There is no score..... Is this normal? or My score is not officially received? Does anyone who has applied to Harvard have any idea? ...... ? Thanks.
  9. Hi, I am wondering how to check whether my official GRE score is well received. Some schools offer checklists so that applicants can check the status, but schools like UCLA, Wisconsin, Harvard do not have such option as far as I know. Do you guys have any idea? Thanks. Happy New Year!
  10. Hi guys, I am a bit confused about the hard copy transcript requirement for Rice and TAMU. Am I required to send hard copy transcript for these schools? It seems that they need hard copy versions after an applicant is admitted. Am I right? Please help me!!!!
  11. Hi, Is it possible to update a SoP and writing sample after submission of an application?
  12. Thanks for replies. Ha... I haven't thought about taking TOEFL as well. I checked the test schedules, but there is not seat available for now in my country. I came back to my country recently and the test center and schedules are not many in here. It is unfortunate but it seems I cannot take TOEFL anymore. Thanks ! I think I will try this instead then. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for replies. I don't need TOEFL and didn't take TOEFL because I hold my BA from US university. My English is not bad, but GRE was more difficult than I thought. My ugpa is 3.91, so I am good in my college performance. I agree with meteora's point as well. So, meteora, do you think which one is better #1 (Q166) or #2 (Q170)? It is a tough choice. Thanks!
  14. Oh, yes. 166 and 170 are my Quant scores. Thanks for the replies. Though don't you guys think my verbal 155 is too low? It is below 70 percentile. Unfortunately because the score percentile graph is a bell curve, although there is only 2 points difference between 157 and 155, percentile drops quite dramatically from 75% to 68%. What I heard is Adcom doesn't care a score if a score is higher than 90 percentile. And I think my GRE is a bit mediocre because I have good Quant score, but verbal and writing scores are below than most schools' average scores. Indeed, I am not from an English speaking country, but my got my BA from US, so it is hard to decide which one is better. Thank you guys. Hope there will be more replies and opinions. Thanks.
  15. Hi, I have two scores and I am an international student in a non-English speaking country. Which one is better? 1) 157(75%)/ 166(91%)/ 4.0(59%) 2) 155(68%)/ 170(97%)/ 4.0(59%) I cannot decide between two mediocre scores..... Thanks!
