I believe they'll have 2 interview weekends.
The first is Jan 18-22, the second is early Feb, but I'm not sure about the dates.

Sanger Institute/Cambridge 4-year PhD program invite!

I'm an international residing in the U.S, and so far I've had domestic travel/accommodations covered. Some programs also extend that coverage to Canadians, in case you're there

Dude you're the one telling us to be deliberate about where we apply for faculty and fit and shit, and you applied to 17 programs?!?

Just got some other random email and nearly died. I wonder how long it'll take to reverse these pavlovian reactions to my email notifications  

OMG just got an invite from Harvard BBS! BEST DAY EVER!

If Harvard doesn't send BBS interviews out today, I've decided that I'm going to attempt to freeze myself until next week because I will not physically or mentally make it

4 years is quite a generous scholarship in the UK (where most secure funding for only 3 years). You don't have the first/two years of classes/rotations at the beginning of the PhD, so it's a whole different system from the US. Due to these differences, most students in Europe complete their PhDs in ~4 years

I guess I'm just not following why this post was necessary. 

Just got a call from an unknown San Diego number and with absurd enthusiasm ran out of the library (#finals) to answer. It was a telemarketer. Hang in there, pals. 

I second this   I heard that some schools "might" pay for international flights like Weill Cornell, UCSF and Stanford

From what I've seen most programs will pay for your hotel and flights within the States, but your flight from your country to the US won't be covered.

I've heard international applicants are usually interviewed via Skype. But I'm sure this depends heavily on the program.

Rockefeller: Feb 23-24, March 2-3
Havard BBS: Jan 26-29, Feb 9-12
MIT Biology: Feb 11-14, Feb 25-28, March 11-14
Sloan Kettering: January (Jan 12-15 once appeared on their website but they removed it for some reason)

According to the website " All completed applications will be reviewed and invitations to interview will be sent via email mid-January". And according to the gradcafe record, MIT biology sent out invites on Jan 8th (F2016), Jan 9th (F2015), Jan 13th (F2014). So it's gonna be a while of waiting I guess....
