  1. Thanks for your advice @StemCellFan. Just hoping my GPA, SOP, research experience, LORs and publication helps me get through without any hassle as compared to my low GRE scores. All the best to you too
  2. My current score is as mentioned below Q: 156 V: 149 Total 305 AW: 4.0 And my GPA is 3.93 (overall) And 2 years of research experience. One in a molecular biology lab and another currently in a neurooncology lab. So will my GRE scores possibly screw me up during the application selections?
  3. I am an International student who wishes to pursue his doctoral studies in US for biological science. I got reviews from most of my peers in US that the GRE scores are supposedly the primary cut off within universities during the application process selection. I would like to know about the same since my GRE scores are not that good and would like to take a decision whether I should apply for fall 2019 or atleast a lower tier university with my research interest as compared to my current selection. Hoping for a good response at the earliest.

Undergrad Institution: State level University in my Country Major(s): B.Tech Biotechnology (4 years program)Minor(s): NoneGPA in Major: 3.92Overall GPA: as abovePosition in Class: Not sureType of Student: International MaleGRE Scores (Revised): Q: 156 (62%)V: 149 (43%)W: 4.0 (60%) B: -Research Experience: 1 year research experience in the molecular biology lab in the institution working on population genetics for DM as well as Bioinformatics (structural modeling for the interaction of proteins involved in the disease). Currently at one of the national cancer research institutes working on neuro oncology [medulloblastoma] ( experience of 1 year by the date of application). Awards/Honors/Recognitions: One co-author paper in BBRC Journal, one (2nd Author) paper in progress. Special Bonus Points: I don''t know if this will be considered but been in association with a neuroclinician and a neurohospital trying to collate data for my own research work while working as a Consultant advisor for their Marketing dept. Any Other Info That Shows Up On Your App and Might Matter: 2 LORs from the PIs, one of which is quite known in her field of Medulloblastoma, one from the clinician and another one from a professor at the uGrad institute.
