Hey guys! Congrats to everyone who got an interview at Mac and accepted at UofA! I am currently in my first year of the Western SLP program, but also got accepted at Mac last year so thought I'd give some advice about the MMI (the best I can without breaking the confidentiality agreement!) because I know it is super nerve wracking The best thing I did to prepare was practice answering example questions from online searches in the exact format the MMI was going to be in. So I would get a friend to wait in a room, give myself 2 minutes to review the question, and go in there and talk about it! Most of the questions are scenario based, so there isn't really a way to study for it other than practicing! Just be confident in the stand you take on the situation, and you will do great! Does anyone know if we also need to accept through western student centre if we're accepting Western's program?

Does anyone accepted to Western know if there is a spring open house? I've tried calling back but keep getting the voicemail (I slept through the call this morning, it was a super late night last night!!) Congrats to everyone!!

I just got acceptances from both Western and McMaster!! I am freaking out!!!!

Same! I don't want to give up hope, but at the same time I don't want to keep my hopes up... It's so hard when you think you have a solid application

Someone just posted an acceptance from McGill on the results page!

And still nothing from McGill?! The open house is literally next week! Every morning I wake up and I'm like okay today HAS to be the day they start calling! And then..... nothing!

Or maybe your GPA and references were so awesome they don't really care about the scores!! Stay positive I am also compulsively checking my phone, emails, school portals...

Same! I was so convinced they would make calls this week based on the old forums. I don't know if my nerves can handle waiting any longer!!

I think it went well! I have no idea how they're going to be able to choose though everyone in my group seemed so well put together, professional and ready!

I am a current student at Western so I can see my application status on the UWO student centre... hopefully that means an acknowledgement email is coming soon!

I know of two people who are overseas so can't do it! Fingers crossed!

I literally just googled MMI practice questions and tons come up! Most of them seem medical based, like 'this woman has a terminal illness but only wants to use alternative medicine, have a conversation with her' ... I am hoping ours are more speech based

I am nervous about the MMI process too! All of the practice questions online are so ethics-based, it's hard to think of the right answer on the spot
