I received an email today requesting an interview. Did you get the same email?

The Fulbright website mentioned that Bulgaria does not require interviews.

I was recommended for ETA in Bulgaria. I know it's not the research grant, but it's nice to know other people connected to the same country!

This has January 17 listed as the notification date.

That's better than next Friday! I'm going to be back in the classroom full time on Tuesday so I'll have to check my e-mail on breaks. Fingers crossed they notify around lunch time!

You can look through the spreadsheet to see past notification dates. Some people listed the time of their notification last year and it was around 4pm EST. I imagine notifications will be sent before the end of business hours EST. My FPA told me he expects notifications to go out the third week of January. I'm hoping we hear by next Friday!

Any other Bulgaria ETA applicants? I found this information this morning on the Fulbright Bulgarian American Commission for Educational Exchange's page on the ETA program: Grant Benefits Monthly stipend – $ 800 per month Round-trip air travel allowance – $ 2 000 Relocation and incidentals allowance – $ 1 000 Allowance for independent local study of Bulgarian language – $ 500 Health insurance (for grantees only) The basic amount of the Fulbright – America for Bulgaria Foundation grant is not increased for accompanying dependents. Housing is provided to grantees by their respective host schools free of charge. Grantees are responsible for covering utility bills.
