  1. Good luck! I only applied to the Alabama program as well. I'm currently working at an academic library and I did not want to leave my current position. Alabama's online program seemed to be one of the most cost effective programs. I already have my MSED so I wanted to minimize any additional student loan debt. I just wish they were a little speedier with admissions notifications. I didn't realize the program waited until after April 1 to review applications. It's getting late in the admissions cycle to apply to a back up program.
  2. I've been trying not to think about it, but the wait is starting to get to me. There's only so many Law & Order episodes I can binge watch while I wait.
  3. It looks like people found out April 9-April 12 last year so hopefully we will know by next week!
  4. I did! I reached out to someone in the program and I was told that online students should hear back after April 1st. Hopefully I will know in 2-3 weeks!
  5. Is anyone else still waiting to hear about their admissions decision?
  6. Is cost a factor? Do you think you would prefer to live in one province over the other?
  7. I reached out to a UA MLIS student and they did not recommend the program. I would be part of the online national cohort. I’m curious about other people’s general opinions of the program. Initially I was drawn to Alabama’s program because of the Social Justice and Inclusivity concentration and the thesis option. Alabama’s program is also less expensive than my in-state MLIS option. Congrats! Do you have a top choice?
  8. Is anyone familiar with Alabama’s national cohort program?
  9. I'd love to hear about your experience with either program!
  10. I am considering putting together my application for Fall 2018. I am considering completing an online MLIS because I already have my master's degree in education. How do you plan on funding your second master's degree? I borrowed quite a bit the first time around, so I'm hesitant to fund a second expensive master's degree through loans. Personally, I would not worry about getting into the programs. For the most part, admission is not as competitive.
  11. I'm switching things up this year! Initially I had planned on reapplying to Bulgaria again or applying to Greece or Hungary for the first time. I am now leaning toward South Korea ETA after talking about it with my FPA today.
  12. Is your university in the process of naming a new Fulbright advisor?
  13. I am considering re-applying for 2018-2019. If I do I will be applying at-large. My current master's program will be completed by July 2017. This year I made it to the semi-finalist round for ETA Bulgaria but I was ultimately rejected. I'm not sure if I should stick with Bulgaria or apply for another CE/EE country for ETA.
  14. It is not a big name program, but I have been accepted into Buffalo's EDM program in Educational Culture, Policy, and Society!
  15. Thanks I'm sorry you got the dreaded NS as well.
  16. Thank you, that is very kind of you to say! Congrats. I hope you have a great year in Bulgaria.
  17. NS for Bulgaria. Good luck to all those still waiting to hear.
  18. Lol this is exactly how I'm feeling.
  19. Bulgaria did the same thing this year and I think it's to torture us.
  20. I'm so over this whole process. ?
  21. Eating everything in sight has been my go-to strategy this week
