@legato and @elbarton I contacted the Fulbright Program Coordinator in my country with a sneaky email saying "Just wanted to confirm that I did not miss an interview email, are all ETA's interviewed..." and got a really prompt nice response saying that they are only interviewing those whose applications brought up additional questions. SO since I didn't get an interview and a few other Bulgaria folks did (which really freaked me out) I am taking this as my application was clear and concise. Hopefully that is also the case for you both!

I'm wondering if today will be the day some notification start coming out! Its March 8th everybody- time flies when your stressed.

I know we are all busting at the seems to know - but in the off chance that this could make you look bad - don't do it!

When I interned at the State Department a surprising number of people are Acting heads - does not mean they are incompetent or overwhelmed - just bureaucracy moves slowly. I wouldn't read too much into this! I would agree that they are probably low on staff with all the recent dealings though. I guess we can only sit back and wait!

@catsbloom Do you have experience teaching english abroad?

Haha thanks, hope it went well! At this point I am almost happy to hear they aren't coming out soon. When the first notification came out I felt like I couldn't breathe. I am always looking ahead instead of just enjoying the moment -- it's my senior year in beautiful southern California (if we get to go to Bulgaria I will definitely miss this weather)!

@edon16 @tommec have either of you received word about an interview? I know @catsbloom did - but I haven't so I wanted to know if I should be freaking out about it. Ha. Thanks!

On the google doc page which lists years past, some Bulgaria ETAs list interview notification dates which is why I asked! I wonder if this is on a case by case basis?

I'm a bit of a late bloomer too (community college transfer after a few years off) but it is never too late! Ha, if Fulbright doesn't work out I am seriously considering EPIK in Korea, or going through a recruiter to teach english in Asia!

I just am trying my best to keep calm. If I am on this forum everyday I start to get all excited/panicked/nervous. I applied for the ETA in Bulgaria - although I have a passion for education I do not want to have a lifelong teaching career. I taught in India for a summer in this makeshift school and just fell in love with the impact we were making and learning about these kids and their life experience. I really want to teach abroad for a couple years and then get my masters in International Affairs.

YAY! My prediction is for 1/19 - I think they previously posted on Thursday afternoons? BUT after sifting through last years forum, they were super delayed and I am not getting my hopes up!
