Thank you, it's a relief to be inn definitely. But still the wait for other programs is torturing. I think if they interviewed you, they're definitely interested in you and your project and deem it a good fit. The problem with interviews is that you never now who's with you in the pool and who of the faculty sees some reflection of their research interests in yours, thus stands up for you. It's all a guessing game. Where else did you apply?

Hy mate, I am not too far from you at the moment in Mannheim. I was interviewed, I think Monday two weeks ago. They got back to me Thursday after that to tell me that I am inn. It was super quick.I thought I messed up the interview. Santhf only got contacted a couple of days ago, so it looks like their admission process is rather drawn out. Any other way I can help you?

was waitlisted last night. "We had a large applicant pool (160!) from which to select for a few spots, and have landed up with a strong top pool, including a strong waiting list. " Where else did you apply?

You're wonderful! We will meet up, latest when we're in the US. Sadly never made it to Iran, but it's very high up on my list. I used to live in Syria some years back. Let me know if you need any travel advice friends, contacts there. Obviously you have a home wherever I have one. Nothing from either CUNY or Columbia. And nothing from NYU. I applied to the Faye Ginsburg's program, so there's hope that that has a different deadline. I normally don't write POI's. I am superstitious on that one and think I might jinx it, but for NYU, I just might.

I wonder how many have been interviewed. Persiandoc mentioned that some get in without interview, but that might just be the ones coming out of NYU.

Friday afternoons is when it all will happens. Got Davis on a Friday around 7pm, and Rutgers Thursday on 7pm (GMT+1). I feel it something will happen today! Fingers crossed for you and all the others.

Hey Mate, I asked myself similar questions last year and started a Maybe we should do the same again this year, but probably wait a bit (I know, it's all wait, wait, wait, sorry) as very few people have actually received offers yet. Peace and best of luck!

That is pretty cruel. You're obviously a top candidate persiandoc, somehow the post-interview wait is more tantalizing tough. Who's up for writing ethnographies on the arcane process of Grad School application. You apply and have no clue, they interview you, you have no clue. Maybe they're just trying to up our tolerance for ambiguity. Good things hopefully come to those who anxiously wait and check this forum every 5min.

I had the interview with Rutgers on Monday. It sounded like they were getting all the interviews done in the past couple of days. But that doesn't mean much, as ever in this arcane ritual we call PhD applications. Wish you good luck!
