Hello guys! Ive been admitted to Georgia Tech for the upcoming fall (Chemistry) and would appreciate any advice on how to manage moving there (am an International student). Ive been on an internship to Georgia Tech before so I am familiar with the ins and outs of Atlanta a bit but back then I did not have to worry about housing or transportation. Any advice is appreciated!
Where was this for the past month So yes I am also as hopeless but my situation is much complicated. I applied to only one school in the US because I did a research visit over the summer their and the PI was so encouraging and told me not to worry about not getting in but until now its total silence. So after getting hopeless since mid-January I started applying to schools in Canada to make sure Im gonna end up somewhere and as time is passing and none of the 3 schools replied yet the depression is at a maximum. Everyone is telling be to be patient but HOW?
GA Tech chem PhD applicants listen up! let's make a get together forum to know when decisions are coming out as well as criteria of admitted applicants!
congratulations! mine was submitted on November 9th and its through the institution application and still didn't hear until today! All the best for you!
I was so stupid to apply to GA tech only
profile:
1.5+ research experience including REU at tech
311 GRE: 159Q 153V
GPA: 3.75
two grants to conduct research while in undergrad + very active in student clubs..etc.
no publications but two posters.
Also my recommendations included one from a prof at tech.
I did not get a response till now and I feel so guilty for not applying to other places. Any suggestions?
