I suppose it depends what you hope to get out of contacting them....?
I don't think necessary fits here, but if you want to receive any other information that they might be able to answer, why not? As long as your email is polite (but perhaps don't mention that you're upset), you don't have anything to lose.
Maybe if you provide some more details of what you hope to gain from the contact, we might be able to provide more helpful comments.
Thank you for your reply, Melvina!
All I wanna do is to confirm if there is any possibility to get enrolled. The director emailed me last month, telling me that "We are enthusiastic about your application", and "We anticipate knowing more in mid-March after our initial admitted students day. Please let us know if there are any competing offers with earlier deadlines, we want to be able to get you as much information possible about where things stand before you accept another offer".
In this case, do I need to contact them? I'm just curious & upset about the result... Many thanks!

Do you think if it is necessary to contact with a faculty/director if I am waitlisted by the program? I am very upset about the final result...

Anybody hears anything from Stanford Health Policy program?
Anxiously waiting for all results.

I contacted HPM admissions at Hopkins and they said they would release decisions by the end of next week. I applied to Harvard and Berkeley as well but haven't heard anything yet!
Will there be any interviews? Or all interview invitations has been sent out?

Organizations and management. So they said there's no interview this year? Did they talk about any reasons? Thanks.
No. I read their handbook for prospective students, which says interviews will be held from January to March. I told this to the program advisor, but he just confirmed that THERE IS NO INTERVIEW THIS YEAR - without any further explanation. Did you apply to any other health policy programs?

Any other details or information? I applied to UCB health policy phd program, too. Thanks!
I was told there are ~100 applicants this year, all tracks in total. They will admit about 6 people, 3 of them will be in the economic track.
Which track do you apply to?

Just called UC Berkeley Health Policy PhD program, and was told that the results would come out in next two weeks. There is no interview this year - strange.

Anyone do the JHU Health Policy & Management call? Any details on when they could be deciding?
No information received yet. Called the department yesterday at 11:45 AM but no one answered.
By the way, is there anybody applying to the health care management & economics program in Wharton here? Any results / interview invitations?
