  1. I'm applying to Minnesota! Don't know much about their admission process but it's a fantastic fit so I hope it turns out well.
  2. I suspect they're bitter grad students (a la the alt right loony tunes that hang out in Polisci Rumors) who didn't get into the program they wanted or who applied in the last few years and were trolled on this forum then.
  3. RE: Columbia posts
  4. And just when I'd resigned myself to not hearing any news today. Maybe if I stare intently at my email I'll get a notification? Or is it like a watched pot?
  5. Someone earlier had mentioned Duke maybe making their decisions this week (something about a shortlist). Do y'all think we may still hear back before the weekend?
  6. Impossible to say, but last year they trickled in and I don't see why this year should be different. Some people got phone calls and the letters are pretty personalized w/ funding offer, so I suspect it will take longer for them all to be sent out (compared to a generic email to all those admitted).
  7. Congrats! Was it by phone like the one that was posted in the results page?
  8. Didn't realize Duke was out. Was this an automated email for the portal or from someone in the department?
  9. Yes, it was a personal email. Status is unchanged on the portal. But I'll keep y'all posted.
  10. I'm Comparative, my SO is in American. By email, DGS. Invited to visit, notified of full tuition and fellowship support, details to follow.
  11. Also got into Princeton. First school both of us got into. I'm literally shaking in my lecture hall right now. My worst fear will no longer be realized!
  12. I didn't apply there, but my SO was just accepted. American subfield. Similarly, can also confirm that Princeton sent out an acceptance. American subfield, again.
  13. I am also someone who likes to plan ahead and this has been the worst part of the whole process. Hopefully you'll be taken out of your misery by the end of this week. In the meanwhile, I've set more short term goals the last three weeks than I'd ever had before. I find that focusing on those (especially stuff like going to the gym, which isn't academic and takes a lot of energy) helps my long-term brain shut up for a little while.
  14. Is Princeton next week? Good god. I am not ready for that rejection.
  15. I applied comparative first. Interested in legislative behavior and vote choice in Latin America.
  16. Eu também! I'm so thrilled.
