So did I , except our tour was given by the person who interviewed us cause most of the grad students were in sessions. Did you hear back? I didn't get in but didn't feel horrible
I didn't hear back yet. I checked the application website, but I don't see an update...or maybe I just don't know where to find it. I need to hear back soon though because so far it's between Hofstra and LIU Post for me.

They told me the same thing and told us that we were there because of our stats and all & even if we don't get into QC, they were sure that we'd get accepted into another program.
How did you feel about your interview? I'm currently an undergrad there & have been to the SLH center often so it felt like home and was pretty relaxed haha. I'm honestly just really grateful that I was even offered an interview because I wasn't so confident in my stats that I wasn't even planning to apply there so not expecting too much and won't be very sad even if I don't get the acceptance.
I felt good throughout the entire interview. I even got to take a small tour with my group and ask a first year grad student a bunch of questions. I can't recall what questions I asked. I was just so happy I got to walk around a bit and look at some of the therapy rooms.

Yeah I'm getting pretty nervous since there are already two acceptances posted on the results page and who knows how many other acceptances were sent out but I also am not expecting to be accepted ..
But that's good to hear. Good luck on your interview!Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get in either. Basically when I went in I was told "congratulations on getting an interview." Hah! Out of 70 people interviewed, only 16 get in. Yikes!
However, they did say that if I don't get into QC we will most likely see each other in the field as colleagues (at conferences and what not). It made me feel a bit better and I will not take their rejection hard at all.

Group interview, was really relaxed, and was asked questions that came up at the moment (and totally not speech related AT ALL) cause I guess they wanted to see how quick/creative you can be with your answers.. Not sure how it went cause I kind of feel like I was overshadowed by this one girl but just hoping for the best.
Did you find out if you got the call? This is actually helpful for my since I'm going for my interview this Friday! Thank you so much I'm hoping to get into QC. The commute wouldn't be great, but my wallet will thank me.
Also...When I called Eileen back (she left a vm) she informed me that this Friday (3/24) was the last Friday for interviews. Just an FYI!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I have an interview at the end of the month and I'm so happy to hear that she was a pleasure to interview with. Last thing I would need is to feel under a lot more pressure than I already do ?
Of course! Good luck. No pressure at all. Just be your honest and sincere self.

Good luck everyone!
Congratulations! I also cried tears of happiness today as I was afraid my lack of experience would get me, but I was pleasantly surprised!
Good luck to everyone! Sending positive vibes.

I applied to LIU Post but I haven't heard back from them yet. What was their interview like?
It wasn't so bad. I would say it's about 30 mins, maybe 45 mins! Dr. Rubenstein, who is the clinic director, is a pleasure to speak with and I felt comfortable the entire time. It is a chance for them to get to know you. You basically just talk about yourself and why you decided a career in speech pathology was for you. She asks you to talk about an observation (e.g. goals, what the clinician did..) and she talks to you a little more about the program itself. She really is great and you can tell she loves her students and the program.

Not sure about schools in other regions but I had an interview with LIU Post on 1/27/17 and an interview request via email for NYMC, yesterday 2/1/17. Left a message with the administrator at NYMC and now waiting for a call back.
A bit of encouragement for those unsure at the beginning of grad school

Thank you for your lovely post! I'm well aware that it's going to be tough, but I know that it's doable. When you really want something, you just gotta go for it!!!
