  1. She is referring to the email sent on January 27
  2. Check UC Irvine's GATS system. That will have information. From emails sent out, it sounds like they have given out all acceptances- perhaps you are on the wait list. Good luck! One email said: "We have recommended that each of you be admitted to UCI and are awaiting the final paperwork and approval. We hope this will be provided by February 15th if not much earlier." Sounds like they have contacted everyone recommended for admission.
  3. My the odds be ever in your favor!
  4. Based on last year's results it seems that Yale, Brown, and Penn will be sending acceptances later next week (possibly week after) with rejections in 3-4 weeks. Here's to another weekend with no news, (un)patiently waiting for Monday.
  5. I'm waiting on Yale as well :/ It's one of the schools I've yet to hear back from that I would seriously consider over my current offers.
  6. I second that. I've heard negative things about UCLA's retention largely due to little support or assistance to grad students.
  7. Whoops! You're right. Have any UCLA acceptances heard about an open house/visitation date? If so, when is it?
  8. Some have been accepted and rejected- I'm still waiting though... congrats on Irvine! I've been admitted there as well.
  9. Does anyone have any tips for visitation days and open houses? Even though I was given an itinerary for one of them, I'm not quite sure what to expect or how to prepare.
  10. Mondays: when I return to obsessively refreshing my email in hopes of admissions news.
  11. Hmmm thanks for this! I saw one person was accepted on the results page, but besides that I haven't heard anything. "Soon".... haha could be two days or two weeks
  12. I went through results pages for schools I haven't heard back from. Here are decision dates from last year: Yale feb 3 - march 8 Penn mid Feb - march 5 UCI jan - feb UCLA jan 13 - feb 25 Brown jan 30 - feb 29 UCSD feb 5 - march 8 Hopefully this helps any of you who applied to the same programs!
  13. Congrats! I'm guessing you'll be able to afford university housing and have somewhat of a tight budget after housing fees. I believe that area has a relatively low cost of living, so it should be doable.
  14. @syf08678 Some schools will accept you via graduate admissions, and contact you later with funding details directly from the department. I know of one school I applied to that does that, so perhaps call and ask if that is how they do it as well.
  15. Got into USC via email on Jan 12 with fellowship. Rejected from Berkeley.
