  1. I think you made the right call there. Getting a job during the summer will harder at that other school and you have factor in the fact that you would need to move back and forth to DC for 2 summers to be as competitive as an SIS grad after graduation. To work in the field you will need to move to DC or NYC or abroad again after graduating. That can eat up your tuition savings reallllly fast.
  2. I'm in a similar boat and decided that a it's a question of is the masters 5x better than the one at GW, which is what the cost difference would be. I realized it is only slightly better, but certainly not 5x better. If you pick GW, I will be seeing you around the halls next year!
  3. Do you see yourself more likely to live in the North or South when you are done? I don't know much about Temple but Tulane has a good rep all through the South.
  4. I think it really depends on what you want to do. What would your concentration at GW be and is that what you want to do or is Conflict studies your thing?
  5. So I am in the lucky position of being able to choose between very low tuition at the Elliott School (8,500/year) or full tuition at SIPA (38,000/year plus living in NYC). Do any current, future, or past students have thougths on this issue? I already live in the DC area so GW would be even cheaper for me due to not having to deal with moving expenses.
  6. Nevermind, I figured it out. In with 11/k. Also into American SIS and American University of Paris Waitlisted: SAIS Waiting on Gtown, GW, SIPA, and LSE
  7. Anyone else having trouble getting Tufts to send them their replacement password/user name? I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Is that system down too?
  8. Elliott School email today: "Thank you for your application to The Elliott School of International Affairs. Applications are currently being reviewed and decisions will be announced within the next two weeks..."
