Same ? congratulations! re: follow-ups, if you had a point of contact, it would be good to follow up to thank them and maybe ask a new question about the program if not too much time has passed. If it has been notably more, I would not unless you have an offer already that is being pushy or a time-sensitive scholarship to accept.

Oh, wow! Were they an American Gates Scholarship applicant? Myself and one of my friends here got our invites yesterday.

I believe Northwestern PhD interview emails are out!

So I know Eastman, FSU, and Michigan have sent out (at least some) musicology PhD interview invites! Not schools I applied to this go ‘round, but there is movement! EDIT: and I believe Harvard sent the “Foreign Language Proficiencies” thing to everyone, or at least everyone I spoke to.

I had interview invites from Stanford, Penn, CUNY, and Michigan by the end of January, so we should be seeing movement soon.

Someone just posted an Eastman theory interview invite. Maybe you guys will get a musicology wave!

Wondering the same. No one is reporting much this year on the results page, as I know of at least two schools that have reached out to a friend that are not represented on the page yet.

I will be applying to a very similar list as well; hoping for the same acceptances as before and perhaps another option or two as I am not sure where family will end up being and it would be nice to not be a continent away from them.

I haven't seen anyone post acceptances for Columbia yet, but I'd expect stuff in the next two or so weeks

Also: I saw someone got a musicology rejection from Stanford; did anyone else? Did they send a personal email? I have not heard anything one way or another yet.

Ahh if you've gotten an acceptance I haven't heard anything yet -- congrats! My application has no letter attached yet, so it seems rejection or wait list here.

Cambridge and Penn; I only saw Theory and Composition people post waitlist'eds.

Well, two acceptances and three rejections this week; I have another interview next week and will hopefully hear from more schools, soon! Has anyone in musicology heard anything from Columbia/reached out to Columbia?

Hi MZ2015, congrats on Chicago! I havent heard anything from them (or Yale) so Im likely out on those myself -- big deals, both of them :-) but I have not heard from any of the schools you've listed, at all (and I did apply to Harvard, Princeton, and NYU). I had interviews with Cambridge, Stanford, CUNY, Penn, Northwestern, and Michigan so far, and those are the only ones Ive had any contact with outside of the standard application received business.

My interview was good, I think! They said they would be done with decisions within a week or so of that, and that then they would let us know. But once again, I am musicology, so composition is likely separate.

I applied to Harvard, Stanford, UChicago and Berkeley (among a few other places) and, other than my interview with Stanford, I have heard nothing from them. I have my sixth interview today, though! (Also, I am a musicology applicant)
