If GSPIA has started sending out offers, why arent we receiving any? This wait is horrible.

Hey guys! I received another response today! From the School of International Development and Global Studies at UOttawa, they are offering me a $15,000 dollar scholarship and also a $18,000 Research/TAship... I am in absolute shock. I was already undecided between GSPIA and NPSIA and now my decision is even harder but this program is offering me the most money and I love the area of International development. Helppppp
Congratulations! I missed the deadline for SIDGS.

@Norma955 Congratulations!
HI, if you don't me asking what was the duration between "Under Evaluation" and "Admitted" for your GSPIA application? Just for a rough idea about how much time they take?

MDev. for me. I heard MIA applicants are in abundance but Intl History ones, not so much.
In abundance? That's not good news for me!

I am actually finalizing my late application, after a lot of pacing back and forth! Likely will not be able to go there even if I were admitted. I've visited though and it's a small beautiful modern campus and lovely faculty.
MDEV or MIA? I follow this thread Graduate Institute 2017, not many MIA applicants there so I am wondering how many MIA applicants they get?
-
Finally my NPSIA status changed to "Review in progress by department", so glad . 2 weeks and Munk application still "Under Review". I am going crazy, checking my email literally every 30 mins.

@justapersonwhochangednames Hi, I see you are considering IHEID? Have you applied there?
-
Is it just me or does anyone else also get nervous whenever the week starts?

Hi cjs1822! Haven't you applied for MDev? I too have applied for that but I got no email from the institute about the mid-March decision announcement. ?
Frankly, I'm worried now..... how come it was not send to everyone....
Anyone else got that mail?
Neither did I and I applied for an interdisciplinary program as well.

yes I am extremely nervous about my applications. I am also thinking as to whether I should send an application for the MIA in Hertie. It looks good but they seem to be so expensive.
No harm in applying, most get scholarships so I have heard and they have no application fee.

Hello, I am absolutely new in here. I applied to IHEID for their MDev programme on 10th Jan,2015. This wait is seriously killing me and all they have got is 'Under Consideration' in the application follow-up. I am extremely nervous about what will happen.
Me too. Anxiety level through the roof

I am in my last semester of Masters in Econ, with 6 months work ex.

Thanks Nupur! How did you find that?
The webinars links didn't work for me ?
In the webinar with 'special focus on applications', they said 80 - - interdisciplinary programs are the largest at IHEID.
Try downloading Adobe first. Or try on YouTube if they have posted.

Hey guys! Glad to see this thread so active....especially now when the wait has become so unbearable.
Does anyone happen to know the batch size of Mdev program? Two years back it was around 80 and there were talks of increasing the intake.
It is 80 even today.

I will reapply next year if I don't get IHEID this year, I am that desperate to go . Good luck to you! I hope you get admitted as well!
-
Ohh just one place? I guess your credentials must be really stellar.
Yes, IHEID is my top choice. You graduated in the same subject?

I meant, where from India? And which uni? I am from Kolkata. Where else have you applied?
Ohh sorry, I am in Pune- Fergusson College at the moment for my studies, but I am from Nashik in Maharastra if you have heard of the city. And I have applied to George Washington University, MIIS, University of Toronto and Ottawa as well as Carleton- NPSIA (long list). I got in at GWU and MIIS, University College London. What about you? Where have you applied and which programs? Glad to know someone else from India has applied to IHEID as well.

Who also applied for ScPo PSIA? I applied both programs on 13 Jan and I think they will both release the result mid-march? I kind of have a panic attack tonight starting to prepare for Plan B- finding a job, even though I am still doing a NGO internship in Cairo...
Many of my colleagues either they are ScPo graduates or worked in UN Geneva before, both programs both share high reputation in IR/NGO, hope I can get in, because it's too hard to find a job/paid internship with only bachelor degree and six-month NGO work experience
Hi, which NGOs have you worked with?

Ugh mine too. uOttawa sent me an email saying my file is now complete and is ready to be evaluated - please expect an answer around the beginning of March" ( note that my application has been "under evaluation since before the deadline".
Same here, I wrote to them but no response.
Applying to Munk 2017 - also NPSIA, GSPIA, BSIA etc
