I know the date to potentially hear from UWO is April 1, but when could we expect to hear from UofA, and has anyone heard anything from UofA?

Did you get a phone call, or did you get an email?

I'm not a student at Dal, I've just been calling their application page a portal because that's what all of the other schools use, haha. I'm actually in Victoria, BC!

I just checked the Dal portal as well, and it simply says "decision made", and below that "written notification to follow".

I don't recall, was Dalhousie the school that sent out offers via snail mail, or do they also give a phone call?

Oh, I wasn't aware that it was a recruitment scholarship that Mizuro received. That brings back a shed of hope, so thanks for letting me know! The anxious feeling I have is definitely impacting how I feel day-to-day. I'm also constantly checking all of the schools portals as well as my email to see if I have heard anything.

This is the forum for Speech and Language Pathology applicants, so we won't be able to help you with any info. regarding engineering at U of A. Check around on other threads and you might find some pertinent information.

I know that @mizuro has heard back from U of A, but has anyone else heard from any of the schools with offers of admission? I feel like it's safe to assume that if I haven't heard from U of A at this point I likely didn't make the cut.

I think I posted this somewhere earlier in the thread, but Dal actually did have an address change to their department this year. I sent all of my application (online and mail) relatively quickly because I wanted to have it finished. Sadly, after I had submitted all of my documents, I noticed that the address on their department website was no longer the same. I was pretty upset at this because nowhere on the website did it state that there was going to be a change of address. Fortunately they were able to track all of my documents down. If anyone is concerned about whether their documents have actually arrived, I would definitely suggest emailing the department. Even though there was some confusion in my application, Mark in the admissions office was extremely helpful in getting everything sorted out! @slpbee I agree with you! In comparison to all of the other schools, the Dalhousie application process seems very unorganized. I think it would be great if they could switch to a completely online system, though I'm sure that's much easier said than done.

Just out of curiosity, did your status change on the UofA portal after, or around the time that you received the call?

I just got a confirmation email western this afternoon. The email contained information to log into the Western portal to check my application status. Admission info. will be released on March 31.

My application status with U of A recently switched from "pre-screening" to "under review". It happened roughly two weeks ago I believe. If you're really concerned about it you could always email the department. I had some issues with one of my academic reference letters and the contact I was speaking with in their office of was fantastic!

Was anyone else waitlisted for the McMaster MMI? I had an email that let me know that individuals on the waitlist would hear back Feb. 28 by 11:59pm, and I still haven't heard anything. I'm on the west coast so it's now 6:38pm in ON. I think it's safe to say this is a bad sign? haha

I was waitlisted for the MMI. Not holding my breath that there will be any cancellations, but who knows!

I received a noticed from Dal on Feb 1 confirming that my application was complete and submitted. I did have a bit of an issue during the application process -- they had changed the mailing address on their website after I had already sent all of my documents. Fortunately they were able to track everything down!
