Typically staff still works through Spring Break--if anything they should have more time without student distractions.

I'm feeling the same.
I called one of my schools and they said they are still reviewing and it'd be mid-April before acceptances went out. I asked two weeks ago, and they said "no later than the first week of March"
What's the general hold up?! I mean it's not just one school. It's multiple. Is this new political environment really going to screw us, like everyone warned?

Go you. You really sound like you've made the most of this application cycle. I'm really glad that you have such a positive outlook. It's inspiring!! I too feel the same way. I gained so much knowledge from just this thread alone and if I don't get into my top choice, then I'll be better prepared for the next time around. My advisor said its always hard the first round of apps and a lot of people get rejected from everything. Made me feel a little better lol. But also, what if we end up being the "strong" applicants next year? Even better, right?!

I'm surprised so many schools still haven't given notifications. I just hate the fact that you could potentially have to make a major life decision in such a short time.

I've been getting bummed at the end when it's apparent that today is not the day!

I am waiting on a decision from Health Behavior and Society at Hopkins as well. A faculty member called me last Tuesday to talk about my application and research interests since the POI I listed (and spoke with throughout the admissions process) cannot actually be my primary mentor since he only has a joint appointment in the department. The professor I spoke with said that decisions should be issued in the next two weeks (so this week or next), but to not quote her on that as they have been deliberating intently over the applications this year. So, I am definitely not expecting a favorable decision, but it would still be really nice to know the definitive outcome.

Dear Friend
If you got acceptance or rejection, please post your background and your GRE score.
This information can help us to analyze every detail.
Thanks

SAME.
Is it just me, or does it seem like it's taking much longer to hear this year than in previous years? Maybe someone has already mentioned this. I thought for certain I'd know by March at the LATEST where I'd be going.
It's so much more pressure when you're trying to arrange new childcare, schools for kids, finding a good neighborhood... ugh. All within only a few months. I'm having a crisis over here!

Am I the only one that's going stir crazy?! I have yet to hear back from a majority of my schools, including my top choices. I just can't anymore. Hubby says I just have a strong case of impostor syndrome

wouldn't it be nice if the adcoms designated specific day/time as to when we'd hear back. think that would cut out a lot of stress in this process
