The case study was on 'Rice subsidies'. Like few people in the group, i had my share of technical glitch during the interview. So the interview lasted only for 15min. However, the interview went well.
Anyways the results shall decide. Hope the prime love is in my reach.

I was interviewed even. There has been change in the tab and i think its because of the system update.

I had my interview on March 3rd. First it was network problems that saw the original plan of having the interview via blue jeans changing to a phone interaction. You can imagine the nervousness in such a situation. However, I had to do my best especially since the Prof was very friendly. Let's just hope for the best.
Looking forward to meeting you in LKY SPP.

My interview is tomorrow but they mention in my invitation email that the interview will be for 30 minutes. Someone in this forum also said he was interviewed for 35 minutes.
So generally, how did yours go, who interviewed you, was he/she friendly and supportive? I can't wait to get done with mine, you know the waiting game.

Wish you all the very best for your interview Asokai. Yes the Professor was friendly and supportive and you need not worry about their research area. The questions will be around the case study provided to you.

Just got my interview completed. The case study was on Rice Subsidies. The interview was totally on the case study and no questions on profile or the essays written.
Wish you all the very best for whose interviews are pending.
Btw, can I know from those who have already completed their interview, as to how long did their interview last?

As cliche as it sounds, the interview part is really not that scary, no one is going to deliberately tank you, so there is no reason to be nervous about it. If you are qualified to apply to the program in the first place, you should have no problem with the case study because you won't need any specialized knowledge in order to do well; it's all about critical thinking. Really, the most important thing is paying attention to what you're reading in order to actually retain information in your head. That's why you need confidence because if you're really-really anxious about your interview, chances are you won't be able to focus properly on the case during your half-hour reading time, and you don't want that.
There is one useful exercise for maintaining your critical reading skills and just for memory in general:
1) Open a New Your Times, Foreign Policy, or an Economist article on a topic that you find interesting or relevant to whatever you're prepping for;
2) Read the first paragraph, then close your eyes and formulate its main idea in a single sentence in your head. Was it difficult? Open your eyes and re-read the paragraph to see how accurate your summary was.
3) Read the second (third, fourth etc.) paragraph, and do the same thing.
4) When you finished the whole article, paragraph by paragraph, come up with a 5-sentence summary for the whole thing, then read through the entire article again and see how accurate you were.
5) Rinse, repeat as many times as you need.

I'm quite new to this forum. I need little help with regards to SOP Preparation. I'm aiming to apply for Masters in Public Policy from a reputed University. In this regard, I would like to know if there is someone who could evaluate my SOP and provide me with comments so that I can refine further.
