Did anyone receive some type of confirmation when their deposit was received by the School of Graduate Studies?
Go into your account on ACORN and look under the financial tab, it's there if it's processed.

Currently I'm looking at "EDx: Introduction to Computer Science" as university website states that it covers both the prerequisites.
Any idea about how much time it is gonna take to complete the course? Has anyone contacted Iris regarding the computer science course?it takes like 3 months if you know what youre doing, 6 if you're new to programming.

cs50x fundamentals of computer science

I see. I applied to both but I found the UofT program has more to offer (except the commute) so I was wondering why McM. Thanks!

Any reason you guys chose McM over UofT?

I received an email from Iris yesterday stating that I am recommended for admission and Grad Office will contact me soon. anyone doing a computer science course? (CS50x or somethin?)
I did the course a while ago just to get better at programming, it was really challenging.

Iris said I would receive an offer but nothing yet. E-mail or call her again and ask, they could be just very busy and forgot?
-
I'm going to be commuting. residence is an extra $12k/year or so and that's just basic expenses
-
Cool. Good luck!
Did you receive it via email or post?

Has anyone gotten an interview from U of T and then been rejected? Wondering if interviews were a formality or not as they got backed up the day of mine and were probably trying to catch up on time so it felt rushed. Also, they asked me about 3 questions in total- so I thought that was a bit odd.
Did you have 3 separate meets with the profs or just 1 where they asked 3 questions? I met with 3 profs individually and each asked me 3 questions and I did the presentation thing. To me the interviews seemed mandated by the graduate department since they took notes on my answers. I think the interview counts as much as the application and it's used as sort of a sanity check prior to accepting someone into the program, in my opinion.

Hey catman! Yes, so I tried to use ROSI all day but it never got back up As for ACORN, I don't know where I should be looking. It doesn't allow me to enrol in any courses
Once I log in what I see is:
Academics
Degree Registration Status
HA MHI 2017-2018 Fall/WinterInvitedYou do not have any enrolled courses for 2017 Winter.
I sent the deposit yesterday, so now I'm waiting for it to get processed...I encourage everyone who will send it to send it via expresspost so that you have a tracking number.

I received an acceptance from mac ehealth
Congrats! I've been hearing good things about the mcmaster program, and it does give you a Masters in science, which could be useful. Did you get an email that your application is forwarded to the grad department?
I'm going to be going to UofT but McMaster was my 2nd choice.

I hope the best for you @Curlygirl123!!!
I checked my sgs and it still says 'Under Review' .... it's worrying me now...
@catman14 I didn't know about ACORN prior to seeing your post. What is it suppose to say? I also don't see any information on my account.
Don't know about ACORN, as I logged into ROSI, but it shows that I've been invited into the program and financial information (which is empty right now).

I'm not sure if this will be of any help but have you tried checking ACORN portal for updates to your profile? I believe you have to use the student ID number on your application to set up UTORid / JOINid to log-in to ROSI/ACORN.
In ROSI it says I've been invited to the fall/winter semesters. Maybe ROSI was updated too for you..check it out

My sgs now says "Decision Made" but I haven't received an admission/rejection email. Has anyone else had this problem?
I would email or call Zoe (before 5pm) to find out.

I got the recommendation to the graduate department email today..It says the offer would come via email within 10 days.

Thanks for answering! I thought my interview went well too so I'm a bit surprised I didn't get that e-mail after the interview.
The projects seem pretty interesting.. How many people are in the program? How large are the class sizes? What's the schedule like? How did you find the internship, or was it assigned?
-
hey guys,
Iris told me today that the committee is finalizing decisions and everyone will have an answer by the 24th. I didn't get the e-mail that my interview went well and that my application is sent to the grad department.
Dwabtit, last year did you not hear anything besides the final decision? How are you liking the program? What sort of projects are you working on?

Hi
I hv applied this yr for Mcmaster MSc eHealth program. My interview was on 22nd February and almost after 3 days I received email from Iris regarding passing my interview and she told that they are sending my file to Grad dept for final offer which will come to me after 10 business days. Still I haven't received my final offer. Anyone else in the same boat?
Congrats! Iris told me they're still interviewing candidates this week and will be making a decision shortly. From reading the last years thread it looks like McMaster's takes its time sending out the offer letters. Check in Mosaic once in a while.

I'm going to try to attend. If there won't be any conflicts in my work schedule then for sure I will come.
