  1. I have a few friends who studied abroad in Russia for a semester and then got Fulbright to Russia
  2. Just got bumped to Primary for Ukraine ETA! WHOOT WHOOT! Just to confirm - given that I am not based in the USA, will I get funding up to $1000 for tickets to and from m location?
  3. I live in Russia, and I can totally relate! I found out about my semi-final status at 3 am
  4. Congrats, you're going to have an amazing time. The hospitality, food, and wine are absolutely out of this world
  5. I don't know if this applies just to my country or everyone else, but it would certainly be cool
  6. This is what was in my email: " We have been informed by ECA about having all U.S. student notifications go out by March 1. U.S. Student applicants could have many offers this spring. In order to stay competitive with graduate school and other fellowship acceptance deadlines, Fulbright is aiming to notify all U.S. Student candidates of their selection status by April 1 (preliminary). To meet this deadline, we were asked to complete our review by March 1. "
  7. From what I heard from my interview, most of us should be hearing back by the end of March this year so that applicants can remain competitive and prepared for all sorts of different positions and fellowships.
  8. We didn't have any special hoops to jump through. Placements just won't be offered in the Donbass region/Crimea. Everywhere outside of the Donbass is calm and chill. I think I got asked a few questions based off of my interest to go to Ukraine given that I work in Russia, but otherwise nothing special or overly whack.
  9. Ukraine doesn't require any sort of Visa! In and out.
  10. Lol, if you want to come to Russia this year, I'm more than happy to host you. If Ukraine happens, I'd love to do it as well.
  11. Yeah I'm pretty terrified myself. I don't even know what I'm supposed to feel anymore My interview was pretty chill, although I was a little put-off by the questions regarding my personal project. How did you feel it went?
  12. Any peepz that have applied to Ukraine?
