  1. Well, I've been disappeared these days bc I visited Georgetown last weekend and WOW... I think that Iowa wins Madison, but probably DC wins both, so now everything is more confused and complicated... I need some days more to achieve my final decision! Thanks again @Ciboney for the info and tips!
Thanks for sharing the info @Ciboney. it's complicated for me living in Alabama, tbh. that's why I don't feel pretty attracted to small places/very conservatives... But Iowa seems a good option tho. I will consult it with my pillow!
  3. I've been accepted in Iowa! I totally shocked because the offer is soooo good and my advisor would be a person who I really really admire, but the city seems so small and quiet, I don't know if I could be living there 5 years... Do you know anything about this university/program to help me to dissipate my doubts?
  6. @Rodrigo C., in my experience with the literature PhD in Wisconsin-Madison wasn't "an interview" (that was I thought by the first email), it was an informal phone call by Skype to explain to me all the conditions and extra information but the coordinator told me that have taken the decision with the written materials as you said. And no, no lying, sorry
  7. I have been accepted in Wisconsin-Madison, the conditions and people seemed really good... but I have some doubts tho. No news from any other university, apart from Emory and Georgetown. ?‍♀️
  8. @Pin34 As far as I know, usually are made in both languages at the same time. One of my colleagues was interviewed last week by Emory and there were eight professors: some asked him in English and the other half, in Spanish... The email I received from Wisconsin told me the same, that the interview will be held in both languages, but if any other partner has a different experience, could be interesting to know.
  9. Hi folks! I have also been rejected from Emory January 18 But I have an interview next week with Wisconsin-Madison, wish me luck! I also applied to Pittsburgh, Temple, Iowa and PennState but I don't have many hopes, tbh!
