If a program lets you know they’re ranking you, that doesn’t necessarily mean you would be in the spots available to the incoming class, right? You could be #11 for a incoming class of 10?

I went to their visitation day and they will be pretty scattered among LA and Orange County as well as the inland empire. It can be the hospitals or laboratories in these areas. Expect 1.5 hour drive to some rotations

Just to clarify, although no acceptances are made before the Match date, will rejections still be sent out by schools we interviewed with before we have to rank?

How are you all addressing "hours worked" at a place on a CV/resume? Are you putting the amount of hours worked to date, or is it more accurate to give a projection of hours ending once GC school starts?

For those applying to Stanislaus, what did you enter in the Statement of Purpose section of the online application since the supplemental essay is accepted in place of this? And if you don't have any in progress classes, do we not enter anything into transcript entry?

Yes, I believe you do! On their FAQ page there's a specific code they want them sent to, so I am assuming they need the official score report from ETS

@trp111 @GeneDawg this is the reply I received regarding Stanford's personal statement limit change! Please don’t worry about editing your personal statement down to 2 pages – the review committee will evaluate all personal statements that are 500-750 words. I updated our limit to 2 pages to match the University’s language.

Has anyone else applying to Stanford noticed they changed their personal statement restrictions from 500-750 words to 2 pages, double spaced? If so, how are you all navigating this? I wrote my statement following the original limitations so now I'm a bit worried...

Does anyone know if Sarah Lawrence has a strict limit on how many recommenders we can have? I know the website says two but the portal has room for more

Hello again! I just wanted to ask you all what are your motivations for applying to programs that may not be close to home? Personally, I've never left my home state or have traveled much, so I am really apprehensive about applying to out-of-state programs. I know it's better to apply to more schools to increase your chances, but how do you all deal with being comfortable about applying somewhere you're not too familiar with. I tend to worry about little things like is the school safe, how am I going to get my car across the country, etc LOL. If anyone has any advice it'd be greatly appreciated!

Is anyone familiar with Brandeis' prereqs? Specifically the one year of biology with a lab component? My undergraduate was on a quarter system, and I was a bio major so I took many bio courses but only 2 quarters of lab. Would this technically not count as a year?

Should we be submitting FAFSAs to prospective schools as the application came out earlier this month? Or should we hold off until we get accepted somewhere?

The instructions say to write an essay, so I would just try to write an essay and make sure it encompasses all your answers to their questions

In your opinion, how long should a CV be? I know some programs want you to highlight certain things in your CV (shadowing experience, exposure to persons with disabilities, advocacy experience etc) but is it a good idea to put other things or should it be strictly limited to what they ask for? The reason I ask is because one of my counseling positions was a direct result from a position I held within the same office, but the first position had nothing to do with counseling/advocacy, so is it relevant?

Hi everyone! I love all the information and help everyone on the forum is providing, it really helps us prospective students! I was wondering if anyone had any information on how much GRE scores are weighed in an application? I know schools say they look at your app holistically, but if two candidates had similar extracurricular experiences and GPAs, but one scored higher on the GRE, would they be more likely to get in? I'm worried since my percentiles for one of the sections is not near the "average of 70th percentile" and am considering retaking it, but am feeling is it a little late to retake it this far into the application cycle when we all have personal statements and recommendations to lock in!
