Just got an email notifying me I wasn't selected for an interview! Sigh, on to hoping for one of the other zillion scholarship applications I've put in pulls through. Good luck all yall who got an interview

Wow! Congratulations! Best of luck! I've heard nothing as of yet but trying not to make assumptions. Do y'all think they send out invites by panel? I'm also social sciences (I think... gender studies is always being categorized all over).

On the Gates Cambridge website it says the interviews will be held 26 & 27 January 2018 (USA). I've already been given an offer and gave my dept. a call, they seemed pretty flustered I was inquiring and said it's confidential information! Hopefully that's not bad news for me, but who knows at this point. I agree, it does seem to vary!

From what I've heard last year they let people invited for interviews know around December 10-12 and the interviews are held via skype or in person in D.C.! Who did you reach out to in your department? I emailed my admin but no response :/

Hello- congratulations! I just got my conditional offer yesterday and official letter today! Also SUPER worried about funding. This is my second time applying because I couldn't afford it The first round. Anyone have an ideas about funding other than gates and when we'll hear? I know gates comes in around dec 10 or so.... (for US applicants)

Hey friends- yesterday my app was moved to "under consideration by degree committee" and then today to "awaiting approval by the GAO" anyone know about this stage? Is it similar to BoGS? Can't find much online

I applied to corpus christie and girton because they seemed to have the most funding available for me altho having second thoughts because girton is so far

Last year it seemed like people got the gates notification in early December around the 10/11/12th! Some people heard of their offer of admission before then though, I've been refreshing constantly and it's driving me nutso

Hi all! Thought I would start a thread for this round of the Gates-Cambridge applications. I just applied in the US round and thought this would be a nice place to update each other on notifications etc! If you want post a lil intro or something below or ask questions, etc. and a late congrats to the gates recipients of this year!
