I emailed the department & the graduate coordinator from UTEP about 2 weeks ago to find out my status of my application but I have not heard back from them. I have received either a letter or an email from all the other schools I have applied to but not them. Any suggestions on the best way to contact them?

Hey all!! I would like to email the graduate coordinators from the grad programs I have not heard from. I am stuck on what to say especially with everything happening currently. Any suggestions? I do not want to sound anxious in my email.

I am concerned because I have not received accepted/declined responses from a few schools. I have not heard from Adelphi University, University of Texas, El Paso & San Antonio, Nevada State College just to name a few. What do I do? I have to give my response to another school in about 4 weeks. I hope their emails are not going to my spam box.

There is a Fall 2014 thread for "Less Competitive" grad schools. I thought it was a good idea to start a new thread and hopefully it can be updated if there are changes. I live in CA which is one competitive states for grad programs. I wanted to see if there were applicants who were applying to the "less competitive" schools that are not part of the bigger programs. I know a lot of these schools are in the midwest and south are easier to get accepted to. Any one else out there applyig to less competitive programs? What is your reason? I am doing it because I have a low overall GPA and most of these schools look at your last 60 units GPA. Let's get this going because I know there are others who can benefit from this thread.
