  1. I am waiting on responses from 2 schools. Nevada State College & University of Texas, San Antonio. I am waitlisted for both schools. One of them is my top choice. Should I contact them? or wait? The April 15th has passed so I do not know what to do.
  2. I emailed the department & the graduate coordinator from UTEP about 2 weeks ago to find out my status of my application but I have not heard back from them. I have received either a letter or an email from all the other schools I have applied to but not them. Any suggestions on the best way to contact them?
  3. Hi Madison. Thank you. I emailed the graduate coordinators about a week and a half ago. I don't think we are applying to any of the same schools. I heard back from most of them except University of Texas, El Paso.
  4. Any suggestions on what I could say to the graduate coordinator in the email?
  5. Thats a great idea!! What did you say in your email?
  6. Hey all!! I would like to email the graduate coordinators from the grad programs I have not heard from. I am stuck on what to say especially with everything happening currently. Any suggestions? I do not want to sound anxious in my email.
  7. What did you say to the graduate coordinator in your email? I would like to email the schools I have not heard from but I do not know what to say.
  8. I thought about emailing those programs but I did not want that to decrease my chances of getting in. As in coming off as being overly anxious.
  9. I am concerned because I have not received accepted/declined responses from a few schools. I have not heard from Adelphi University, University of Texas, El Paso & San Antonio, Nevada State College just to name a few. What do I do? I have to give my response to another school in about 4 weeks. I hope their emails are not going to my spam box.
  10. I am applying to Yeshiva University in New York City and Saint Xavier in Chicago, IL. As a grad students are budgets are tight and cities like Chicago and New York are expensive. What do you do for rent costs? Especially for NY.
  11. I saw them after I posted my question lol Thank you for responding ?
  12. Same situation with me!! I am a post bacc student. My undergrad GPA is low but my CMDS GPA is higher. Where are you applying?
  13. Congratulations!! Where were you accepted to? If you don't mind me asking what were all the schools you applied to?
  14. I am looking through ASHAs stats for grad programs and its depressing!! Majority of the schools are for students with high GPAs and those with low GPAs might not get it!!
  15. There is a Fall 2014 thread for "Less Competitive" grad schools. I thought it was a good idea to start a new thread and hopefully it can be updated if there are changes. I live in CA which is one competitive states for grad programs. I wanted to see if there were applicants who were applying to the "less competitive" schools that are not part of the bigger programs. I know a lot of these schools are in the midwest and south are easier to get accepted to. Any one else out there applyig to less competitive programs? What is your reason? I am doing it because I have a low overall GPA and most of these schools look at your last 60 units GPA. Let's get this going because I know there are others who can benefit from this thread.
