Do they try to award people from Universities that don't usually win the award? There has been virtually no one from my university who has gotten the GRFP.... In theory, would this make my chances better or worse?

And I thought I was being conservative 3 weeks ago when I predicted March 27th...............

I'm not sure if I am interpreting it wrong, but that may mean the 2018-2019 round and not this time....?

My bet is that we'll know on March 27- only 3 weeks away!! (I literally cannot stop thinking about it. I know the chances are SO slim, but I just want to know already!)

Hello! I have gotten data back from some bone collagen that I ran through the Isotope ratio mass spec. I am looking for someone to help me interpret the results. I have asked my advisor already, but I talked to someone else as well and I have gotten mixed answers so I am very confused. If anyone knows anything about paleo diet and stable isotopes, please help me!!!

What programs are you applying to? I'd like to read it too if you want one more set of eyes!

Just know you're not alone!! I felt like this last year, and am feeling it now too even though I'm already in a program, because now I'm waiting to see if I got a grant that I applied to. AND I won't know until APRIL!! You really do have great scores though, so I definitely believe you'll get into several schools. I had very similar stats to yours (actually your GRE may be a little higher) and I got into 4 or 5/6 of the schools I applied to. We didn't apply to any of the same ones though, so I don't know if that helps!

I just applied for the first time last week! First year grad student in archaeology.... Last year, only 12 archaeologists were awarded I'm not sure if that reflects the number of archaeologists who actually applied, or if they give out fewer awards to some of the fields??
