  1. Yup, nothing for math/stats committee here either (US university)
  2. My interest area is finance. Great! I'll see you at the visit day. I have no idea what the chances are. Haha Guess we'll wait and see.
  3. They might not necessarily interview all people who they want to accept. I didn't get an interview from Princeton or Columbia. Still haven't heard from Berkeley or Northwestern after an interview. Georgia Tech did send out a few offers today.
  4. I also got invited for visit day. They never did this 'admission decision after visit day' thing until this year, or so it seems. It's probably a good thing? I don't know how many people got the invitation. Are you attending the visit day?
  5. Interesting profile! Columbia and Princeton are both known for FE so I think you made the right choices there. According to the results page, Columbia has sent out some interview requests this week, I'm not sure if interviews are part of the process for everyone. Haven't heard anything yet from MIT Princeton or Columbia.
  6. Sure I guess I'll get started! What schools/programs are you all applying for? I'm aiming for OR/IEOR PhD programs at Stanford, MIT, Columbia, Northwestern, Berkeley, Cornell, CMU, Princeton, Georgia Tech. Safety is my undergrad institution. I have interest in financial engineering, and optimization theory I'm a final year undergrad in Canada. I've done summer research with profs in industrial engineering, financial mathematics, material science. Thesis is related to constrained optimization. No publications though. I guess most applications have already been submitted, good luck to you all!
