1. This is a bit off topic, but for holders of PGS/CGS M or D in Canada, do you pay income taxes on it? Provincial? Federal? I find that the regulations are very ambiguous about the precise treatment and that even professional accountants are unsure of the exact treatment for these awards. To make matters more confusing, I have found that many university graduate office websites offer different advice. I have found sites saying it is taxable and sites saying that none of it is. I know that it is tax-free wrt provincial (QC in particular) taxes. I am not sure about federal though. I received the CGS-D and while I am still debating on whether to accept it, I am curious on the tax treatment in Ontario?
2. CGS D3. Im in mild shock because I was not expecting anything at all. Aside from perfect grades, I have nothing.
3. checked with my program director this afternoon. No word received yet in the department of results. Hopeful to receive an email from them in the morning.
4. No luck today in Montreal. Another 24 hours to go
5. Hope Montreal gets it today. Don't know whether I can last yet another day of this waiting game. I'll know in an hour.
6.

I declined it. Now I'm all worried cause my profile doesn't show a pin.
7. I have been accepted for a USRA before, but I don't know that I was ever assigned a PIN. If i was, I don't know what it is and in my profile on NSERC, it still shows 0.
