  1. Currently counting down the last 3 weeks at my job, and then off to a training seminar. Classes begin in the end of August, and though I haven't registered yet (until after orientation), I basically know what I will be taking. A few months ago I felt like I needed to rush and catch up in areas I didn't concentrate on in undergrad, but as I get closer to my start date I get a little more relaxed (sometimes...) and don't feel the need to do that. What will be will be. I'm incredibly excited to have the chance to go to school to focus on something I love, and to get paid for it (still can't quite believe that one...). I hope everyone has the best of luck with moves and the like, that part of it is no fun at all...
  2. Really just wants everything to start, so this free floating anxiety can just aim at something...

  3. I've actually been living and working in Pittsburgh for the last couple years, after spending about 8 or so years in other states (I'm from Pittsburgh originally), and have a place with my SO. However, if anyone is less familiar with the city and has questions about areas and prices in terms of apartments, please ask away and I'll help as much as I can.
  4. is anxious and nervous and just plain ready...or is he?

  5. Heading to Pitt for a PhD in Cognitive Psychology!
  6. Congrats to everyone who received an award or an HM, just an incredible achievement. I'm heading into Grad School in the fall, in Cog Psych, and according to the website I didn't receive a nod in either category. Since I haven't received my rejection email yet, I can't post anything about my rating sheets, but I just wanted to congratulate all the winners, as well as the folks who just put in a great effort to get this submitted. Good luck everyone!
  7. I'm heading into Grad School in the fall, and according to the website I didn't receive an award or an HM. I'll certainly be applying again next year, and though I haven't received an email yet, so I can't speak to my ratings, I feel like my research plan could have been a little more clear and perhaps a bit more focused. I'll certainly post my reviewers' comments when I get them, and keep your head up everyone, as LadyL mentioned, this forum is certainly biased towards the neurotic, over-achievers out there. Congrats to all for the hard work that went into the submission process, and I look forward to this crazy waiting game again next year.
