Did you have to interview @Soon2BePhD?? It seems interesting they would just send you an acceptance with no interview. I applied for higher ed policy track so I'm wondering when those interview offers go out, as I was under the impression that you had to interview twice at Vanderbilt.

    I had a phone interview.

Can you provide more information, @Soon2BePhD? Are you K-12 or Higher Ed? What was the contact (interview invitation, acceptance, etc.)? And, what is your profile? Thanks!

I was accepted for K-12. I would prefer not to share my profile publicly at this time but feel free to dm me if you want more detailed info.

I applied to six programs and am waiting to hear back. I applied to Vanderbilt, UVA, Harvard, Stanford, Wisconsin and Berkeley. Has anyone heard back from any of those programs? My concentration is leadership and policy...varies a little bit program to program.

I've heard back from Vanderbilt and another school not on your list.

Just wanted to make sure the fee payment has to be made before the deadline? The application is in the submitted phase but the fee has yet to be paid as there was confusion over the waiver status. I'm still waiting out for reply. Asking if I should pay the fee before the deadline tonight or wait it out? P.S. It's the Vanderbilt University application and the interface is the standard where boxes are checked for the materials submitted and the option to add additional docs etc.

I am not sure which program you are applying to or what the correct course of action should be in your situation. However, if it helps any, I do know that they can refund application fees paid by applicants if the department head requests it (at least in regards to apps submitted through the Vanderbilt Graduate School Application). It can take a while though to get the refund back.

If you need the money soon, it might be better to just wait it out but if you're worried about the deadline and don't have financial concerns, might be better to go ahead and get peace of mind by having all the boxes checked by the deadline.

Thank you, edpolicy232! Logically, I feel that this week was the week for invites. May I ask, was it this week that you heard? Ah, it is not the only program that I applied to-‘ but it is definitely my first choice.

    Did you receive an invite?!

I updated my prior response. Looks like someone was accepted to the CRA program today in the results section. I heard back this week.

I’ve applied to the Community Research and Action (CRA) PhD program, and was hoping to find out if anyone had heard anything yet? I am unsure of an exact timeline, but the program website says they hold campus visits in mid-Feb- so it seems as if they should be sending invites for that around now. To know anything would be nice!

Looks like someone has already been accepted to CRA in the results section. Hopefully, you will get good news soon. Is that the only one you applied to?
