I'm thinking that whenever the NSF gets around to updating the fastlane portal, grabbing all of the available data from all previous years...then getting some data on each of the applicants with online profiles like linkedin/etc...and since Alex Lang (at least him but maybe others) have their own data sources of essays online, incorporating those into the database. So then we would be able to match up a text source and other attributes with awarded / not awarded, allowing us to predict the likelihood of our applications being awarded. This is just an initial idea, feel free to criticize or improve upon on it.
