Thanks! And nope, this is now the fourth week and counting. At this point, I don’t care if they accept or reject me, I just want to know.

Congrats! Yeah, I don’t like how we have no idea how much funding we receive... A curious decision on their part. I just got back from UVA’s visit, which was more of a stress-inducing situation because no one’s been admitted yet, but everything went really smoothly! The profs and current grad students were incredibly welcoming, and I didn’t feel any pressure at all.

Accepted to UConn, but only for their MA program...?

I think my situation was atypical, I’d go ahead and ask! Worse they can do is be rude, which would raise red flags and make you reevaluate that school.

I don’t think so, his name definitely isn’t French... but maybe he absorbed the culture, who knows?

One of my accepted schools never mentioned one, so when a professor called I asked him about it...and he said, “We can offer you one, but we want to make sure it’s not for sightseeing.” *shrug* Yes, I definitely have unlimited days to take off at work to run around and do as I please.

My first phone call went really well even though I was terrified, but my second was...odd. The professor said they really wanted me, but then got basic information like my research interests incorrect.

Penn State said that they would let me know in three weeks when they interviewed me, and this is the third week and I have been slowly dying.

I’d try to visit, I think your professors will be understanding! I had a friend who went on a few campus visits during her final semester when I was in college.

Got accepted to LSU with the full stipend, tuition waiver, and insurance package!

Ha, I’m in the same situation where Columbia offered to transfer my dossier to the MA program, and...uh...no thanks? I already have two PhD offers?

The exact same people, actually. I sure hope to hear back soon! They told me on Monday it would be three weeks and I felt my soul shrivel and die a bit.

I’m hoping to! I’m going to wait a bit to see if I get any other offers, because visiting UVA and Cornell will leave me with only 5.5 days off until June. But if I do go to the open house, I’ll shoot you a PM!

I think I am! I want to see what the school’s like, and if I get into Columbia, their day is on the 8th and I’d already be conveniently in New York!
