My heart almost paused when I saw your post initially but then I realized I applied to the SPA not the SIS. Relief. At least I can still have hold some hope up.

@megabee I was just reacting to the post about the interview. I wish I know too. I hope it's the latter which means not hearing from it now should be at least not that bad of a sign.

Saw that U Penn started to schedule interviews. Panicked again.

I haven’t received anything from Chicago neither. I don’t know what to expect now. It’s the fourth schools that I haven’t heard anything from but others have been receiving acceptances.

I got it before the deadline. It started by reminding me deadline is 5 days away.

I would assume they did...based on the results of previous years, they announce acceptance on the same day. I’m expecting a rejection letter from them in my mailbox at this point. And I also applied to Vanderbilt. They sent out a letter earlier this month saying interviews will be scheduled first or second week of February. If not heard from then, it means you didn’t make the short list. Hope I get the interview!

It's a generic email. So it means that it's just their way of wording the rejections?

Received a rejection from Emory 15 minutes ago. Emailed from DGS. It mentioned "I regret to inform you that the faculty in the program you applied to has not recommended you for admission". Does this mean I passed the ad comm review but not accepted by the POI? I'm a little confused by the sentence.

Congrats to the admits to Penn State so far! I also applied but haven't heard from them. Studying the past years patterns of Penn State on the result board tells me that they would announce the offer on the same day and send the rejection mails through post office. Does that mean if I haven't heard from them today, I can expect a letter in my mail box...

One friendly suggestion: can you guys start a new thread to talk about the "top 10" topic? I'm not saying it's not important but you are really adding on my anxiety of not hearing back from any of the schools when I open this page once every 30 minutes expecting updates from people...considering it's still pretty early in the waiting period. Maybe let's return to the conversation later when people start to struggle to make decisions - which I hope I can experience because it means I have been accepted to at least two schools.

I was wondering the same thing as you. I applied to Emory and Rice too and I am an IR. I noticed that all of the Emory result today were in Comparative? I hope that means IR hasn't announced the result yet.

Anyone hear from Emory yet? Saw the post from the result board and refreshed my application page and received nothing. Getting more and more nervous...
