Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that I emailed Berkeley to ask about the status of my app and they replied that they’re still deliberating and we’ll all hear within a month or so.

Specialty is early modern/Baroque, but my undergrad research was focused on feminist theory and feminist art criticism which is what I’m most interested in doing in graduate school.

I also applied to Berkeley and UCLA and haven’t heard anything. There’s one person on the results page who says they’ve heard from their POI, so I’m assuming that’s unofficial. I’ve been obsessively checking both emails and website since I read that though. UCLA’s application status check page says not to expect anything until March or April, but it’s actual torture to watch other departments and schools get their acceptances on the results page and not hear anything. I applied to five schools and have only heard from one (it was an acceptance so that’s exciting), but now I’m regretting not applying to more schools. Money was an issue for me this year though.
